In June 2021, amid the pandemic, the Wolves Lottery made a significant contribution to aid a young supporter’s health by supporting the Power Pleas charity through the Wolves Foundation. Since 1995, annual collections at Wolves games have been supporting Power Pleas, a local charity providing mobility aids to young individuals. These collections, initially initiated by Baroness Rachael Heyhoe Flint in collaboration with the Tettenhall Rotary Club, were later named ‘Rachael’s Day’ after her passing. While the pandemic prevented collections during the season, the Wolves Lottery generously donated £1,300 to help fund a customised trike for two-year-old Romain Jackson, who faced health challenges from birth. Romain’s family and Power Pleas were delighted with the Wolves Lottery’s support, which greatly improved Romain’s mobility and quality of life. Keith Berry, Chairman of Power Pleas, expressed immense gratitude for this gesture, emphasising the potential positive impact on other young individuals facing mobility challenges.
