Payment MethodsCasino Action Verdict
Casino Action is a nice enough site, but it never does enough to become one of the best online slot sites out there. To its credit, the site provides a lot of the features of new flash sites, such as mobile apps, live chat and multiple payment methods. However, it also suffers in a lot of ways for having clunky downloaded software, which just isn’t necessary any more. You may prefer this kind of casino so it’s worth taking a look, especially if you like usual game selections.

Design & Usability
The Casino Action main site is simple and attractive, using black and gold to give an opulent feel. The site is neatly laid out and it’s a shame that instead have to download software to see the site as it’s intended. The download process is pretty fast and lets you register at the same time, so you’ll be done before you know it.
The software uses a row of coloured buttons at the bottom to get you from area to area, though you also need to use tabs at the top on occasion. Sometimes you need to use the main site instead and often the software just loads a web page. You may recognise the layout of the software from other Microgaming offerings. It’s functional but not as smooth or easy to use as a new site.
Software & Gameplay
You will have no issues downloading and installing the software, which is made by Microgaming and while it may look dated, it runs pretty well. We have had a slight crashing issue once, but this happens with anything now and then, including web browsers. You may wish to try the flash preview before downloading.
The game library is listed on a left-hand panel with expanding options. Click a category to get a list of the games in the main window. It doesn’t look as nice as browsing tiles with artwork, but it does make sense given the vast number of games here. Games have no special overlay controls sadly.
Safety & Security
Casino Action is licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission and Malta Gaming Authority, which you can look into with the details on the site footer. Take a look at the Fair Play section of the main site to learn how they ensure this, using the eCOGRA independent service.
Casino Action also has a responsible gaming section and good security using digital encryption.
Payments & Withdrawals
You can easily bank through the downloaded software, after setting yourself a limit. The withdrawal process should take around 3-5 working days, as normal.
This site accepts debit and credit cards in the form of Visa, Maestro and MasterCard, or there’s Neteller, PayPal, Skrill and Qiwi. You can also use PaySafeCard and direct transfer.
Customer Support
There is a contact section on the software but this only presents the live chat button. You can actually go on the main site to find phone and email alternatives. Thought this system is awkward, the team do seem to be welcoming and knowledgeable.
There is a help section on the software with plenty of details on how the games work and more. It’s useful, but densely written and so not very accessible.
Bonuses & Promotions
Casino Action has a very tempting welcome bonus, but be aware that it’s split over several deposits. To get the full £1,250 they offer, you need to deposit £3,200 of your own money! Your first deposit can be matched by 100% match up to £150. Your second gets a 50% match up to £200, your third gets 25% up to £500, your fourth gets 50% up to £250 and your fifth gets 100% up to £150 again. The wagering requirements on these is a fairly low 30x.
Otherwise, there are not many promotions here. They lean towards slot races, where the top spenders can win £100 or similar. This is fine but not much use to casual players. The site seems to lack promotional artwork or tailor made offerings.
Device Compatibility
There is a mobile slots site at Casino Action, which is simply a stripped-down version of the main site. It’s actually very nice and easy to get around, in many ways preferable to the desktop software.
There is no Android app but this is not uncommon due to Google Play Store limitations. There is an iOS app available through the iTunes store. Both slots and table games will run pretty well in this, but it’s nothing special.
Variety & Originality
Like most Apollo Entertainment download sites, Casino Action only uses the Microgaming provider. This limits variety in one way, however, there are over 500 games from this very popular developer, so you have plenty to find. There are modern video slots and classics, though the majority of the selection is a little old now.
There is a lot of variety in terms of game types, with 100 line slots, extras like bingo and more. You can play many roulette and video poker games, but there are no live dealer titles.
Loyalty & Rewards
Casino Action has the Casino Rewards programme for VIPs and loyalty. This lets you earn points for depositing, which will raise your status through six tiers, or you can exchange for credit.
The exact rewards for higher tiers are a little unclear, but the site claims to offer birthday gifts, bonuses, extra promotions, priority support, exclusive games, personal VIP hosts and more entries into the special Time Of Your Life Sweepstakes.
