Golden Tiger Casino Verdict
Golden Tiger Casino gets a lot right, which is surely a sign of the site’s long experience in gambling, but the site lags behind in the software department. If you don’t mind installing programs on your PC, then this site will be fine for you. If you prefer a flash based website, then you’re out of luck. Still, a huge Microgaming catalogue might swing it if you’re on the fence. A lot of room for improvement, but not terrible.

Design & Usability
You may be a little disappointed when you arrive at Golden Tiger Casino, as the site is quite basic. Though the rich, red scheme looks nice, there’s not a lot in the way of artwork. Instead the site mostly directs you to download. The instructions for downloading are very clear and you can register as part of this process.
The software itself is a little more encouraging, welcoming you with a nice tiger animation and some gentle Chinese music. Getting around the software is pretty easy, once you get used to checking both the bottom row of buttons and the top tabs for what you want. Still, compared to a modern flash site, it’s still very clunky.
Software & Gameplay
The software here is powered by Microgaming and as such it’s very stable, it just feels very old school, too. If you like things neat then it does make sense to install a site on your PC and have it at your fingertips, but most of the time it’s just interacting with the site servers and web pages anyway.
The game lobby is pretty good here, having a simple expanding menu of games. The online slots expand to fill the software window, also seen at other casino sites like Guts Casino and GDay Casino. It’s neat and useful, but nothing special.
Safety & Security
Golden Tiger Casino is licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission and Malta Gaming Authority. The site has a responsible gaming area which should help to prevent problem gambling.
The site uses digital encryption to protect customer data, but the main site doesn’t have a certificate and it’s unclear how this works for the software download. The site does have a clear fair play policy and they use the ODR platform for third party dispute resolution.
Payments & Withdrawals
There is a link for banking at the bottom of the software window. This essentially opens a banking web page. The system is straightforward and won’t take you much time to work out, plus each method includes a link to the appropriate site if you want to use one for the first time. Withdrawals appear to take at least 3 working days for e-wallets and 5 for cards.
The site accepts MasterCard and Visa for credit and debit. You can use Neteller, PayPal, Skrill, EcoPayz, PaySafeCard, EntroPay and Instant Banking. This is a really good selection and the site deserves praise for getting this right.
Customer Support
There is a Contact button on the software… but this just loads a blank webpage with ‘click here for live chat’ in the middle. Fortunately, the live chat does work (via Casino Rewards) and it’s nice and smooth. You can find a phone number and email by looking on the main site instead, plus a long FAQ section.
The support staff seem perfectly friendly and helpful, but the system needs to be refined.
Bonuses & Promotions
There are not many standard promotions available at Golden Tiger Casino. When we visited, we found two available to play. The first was a double-points offer on the Casino Rewards Millionaires Club game, but that required a minimum deposit of £100. The other was a £100 reward for each of the top five players on Cool Wolf. A nice offer, but these both require a lot of spending to be in with a chance.
The welcome bonus offers up to £1,500, but this is split over your first five deposits. You first deposit receives a 100% match up to £100, second is a 50% match up to £300, third is a 20% up to £500, fourth is a 30% match up to £500 and fifth is 100% up to £100 again. While it’s nice to get extra bonuses on future deposits, you’d need to deposit £4,967 to get that £1,500 free, before wagering requirements of 30x.
Device Compatibility
The odd thing about Golden Tiger Casino is that while the site makes little mention of mobile play, you can simply visit the site on your device’s browser and find a full mobile slots site, using real money.
This mobile site is better optimised than the software being used for download and works much better! You can tap into each game section and pick a game easily. They load fast on mobile and are designed to let you use taps and swipes. Sadly, there are no apps or mobile guides here, but the site is probably better than the desktop download.
Variety & Originality
There is a pretty broad game selection at Golden Tiger Casino, though the fact that they just use Microgaming slots does limit things a little. Still, within that group you have over 500 games! You’ll find video poker, table and slot games with jackpots. There are seemingly endless video slots, going up to 100 lines, or a mixture of 3-reel games.
You can play roulette and blackjack, but sadly the live dealer game section is empty. The bingo section is empty too… but you have a ton of video pokers. It’s a mixed bag, basically, but there’s plenty to check out.
Loyalty & Rewards
You can earn points as you play at Golden Tiger, which also allow you to climb up the Casino Rewards loyalty tiers. There are six status levels with new benefits, including bigger bonuses, more promotions, priority support, birthday gifts, exclusive games, personal VIP hosts, more entries into the ‘Time of Your Life Sweepstakes’ (with some great, real prizes) and VIP Lucky Jackpot. The rewards do sound good and should tempt people to stick around.
Reward points can be exchanged back at a rate of 100 points for $1 in chips, plus you can earn points in promotions too. All in all, a pretty good VIP system with several special games.
