Total Gold Casino Verdict
Total Gold is a nice-looking site with quite a memorable theme, but it has a lot of missing components, too. This site would be suitable to someone playing for the first time, or an old hand who wants to grab a good welcome bonus. While that bonus is good, there’s a lack of other promotions to keep players interested. A solid variety of slots helps to make the site more interesting.

Design & Usability
The Total Gold site definitely embraces the name, with a black and gold theme throughout. The background is black with faded stars, while everything else looks like it’s moulded from shiny gold. It’s certainly a complete and stylish theme, though it naturally also lacks colour.
The registration process follows a familiar Cassava design template, but it’s quick and easy. Once logged into the site, you see an account section at the top right and a large display of your balance. There’s a helpful panel for site ads and then the list of games- a very concise and simple layout.
Software & Gameplay
The game lobby is very simple at Total Gold, with tiles of games sorted by categories and quick buttons to find each one. However, it does lack a search box for finding a specific title. There’s a useful information page for each game, which is a nice touch.
The games load into a medium-sized space in a special view mode, with the same black and gold background. There’s a handy cashier link and games panel, but it would be nice to be able to full-screen the games and remove distractions. The loading times were a little sluggish for us.
Safety & Security
Total Gold Casino is licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission and the Government of Gibraltar. The site has a good responsible gaming section to support this, helping players to avoid problem gambling.
The site is covered by a full security certificate provided by GoDaddy. The eCOGRA seal of approval marks that the site is tested for fairness by an independent body.
Payments & Withdrawals
Total Gold Casino accepts a nice mixture of payments methods, via MasterCard, Visa, Neteller, PaySafeCard, PayPal, EntroPay and wire transfers. Players can also deposit by phone.
The depositing system uses Cassava’s usual Bridgend pop-op, with a very clear process that newcomers will find easy to use. There are no fees for withdrawals, but they do take around 4-7 days to arrive.
Customer Support
There’s a help link on the site footer that reveals the contact methods for Total Gold. Players can use email or phone to reach the team, but sadly no live chat. The phone number is toll free for UK players, but only open 9am to 1am.
The site also has an FAQ section, but it lists only a handful of common questions, so players will probably still end up contacting support.
Bonuses & Promotions
Total Gold is seriously lacking in promotions, offering an impressive welcome package but no other day-to-day rewards. That may change from time to time, but at the time of writing there was no incentive to return after the first few weeks of play.
The first welcome bonus is a 100% match on your £20+ deposit, up to a maximum of £200. This also comes with 25 free spins on Starburst, worth £5. The bonus has a relatively low wagering requirement of 30x. Your second deposit gets a 50% bonus up to £100 and your third gets 75% up to £150, so this is a solid package overall.
Device Compatibility
Total Gold does not provide any mobile guides for players, or have any apps. There is a mobile version of the main site, though, which most devices will be able to access through a browser.
The mobile site is built using a common Cassava template, so it lacks a certain originality and doesn’t fully reflect the desktop site, but it is tried and tested. There are clear icons for hopping from one section to the next and players can swipe to navigate games.
Variety & Originality
Total Gold has a nice mixture of slot providers, leading the pack with NetEnt. This huge name brings along Starburst, Fairytale Legends, Gonzo’s Quest and more. For something more casual there’s Eyecon with Shaman’s Dream and Barcrest with Rainbow Riches. IGT provides the classic Cleopatra and there are even some TV and movie themed slots, such as Hole in the Wall by FremantleMedia and Nightmare on Elm Street by 888 Slots.
The site also has casino games, but much fewer than the slots. There’s blackjack, a set of roulette variants and an unusual game called Wheel of Light. Bolstering these are two live dealer roulette rooms by NetEnt.
Loyalty & Rewards
There is a Total Gold VIP page on the promotions area, but it does not tell players much at all. The system is invite-only, so you will have to play and hope to get a call. The nature of the rewards is not revealed, but the standard special bonuses and promotions can be expected.
The site does not appear to have a reward points system for day-to-day players.
