Casumo Verdict
Casumo Casino is a very fun and distinct site. Many casino sites feel like carbon copies and that cannot be said here; the design, the language used and things like the adventure system are really new and fun. There’s a great game selection too. The downside here is that the design can go too far sometimes and result in things being hard to find, plus traditional casino aspects like bonuses suffer a little. Still, overall this is a huge step in the right direction for online casino development.

Design & Usability
Immediate impressions when you arrive at Casumo Casino are that you’ve wandered onto the wrong site! The use of soft artwork, modern design and a friendly, welcoming vibe make this seem more like a social networking site than a casino. This fresh approach is actually very nice and it feels welcoming, as opposed to the slightly patronising ‘VIP’ feel that many sites use, in an attempt to look like a land casino.
Design is interesting here and feels very modern, with the home page scrolling down to show a lot of bold graphics and coloured panels. Pages have fun text, animated backgrounds and still run very smoothly. This is definitely a site built for purpose and has some nice extras, like a counter on the left showing the latest wins. You can choose from six languages and reach social media pages. However, there are some downsides to this site. It’s so sleek that they’ve omitted useful pages like promotions, plus some areas feel a bit empty, making it hard to find information.
Software & Gameplay
The sleekness of this site is great. Once you load a game, it appears almost full screen, except for the site’s sidebar strip. This changes to reflect that you’re in a game, showing promotion information, a slot breakdown and help options. It’s a really nice overlay and it ties in to the site’s achievement system.
The games run very well here and use a mixture of developers. The site’s casino section appears to be empty, but if you visit the ‘game browser’ section you will find all the site’s catalogue presented in neat tiles.
Safety & Security
Casumo Casino is licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission and by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission. The site has a full security certificate and uses encryption to protect your transactions. They also use an independent third party to check fairness, but there’s no logo for this on the main site.
The responsible gaming section is very strong here, not just a template page but a special section called the ‘play okay’ area. This has a lot of useful tools like deposit limits and information.
Payments & Withdrawals
The cashier here is nice and easy to use, a small set of panels built into the site. You can deposit in moments, especially after your information is stored. You can also clearly see what bonus you’ll get with your money and what fees may apply. Withdrawals are fast here, offering approval within 23 hours and transfer in the next 1-3 business days, or instant for e-wallets.
Payment methods accepted at Casumo Casino include credit and debit cards like Visa and MasterCard, or you can use e-wallets like Skrill, Neteller, PaySafeCard and Boku Mobile Payments. The selection is good but a lot smaller than some other casinos, plus PayPal is missing.
Customer Support
There’s a great FAQ section on Casumo Casino, with loads of questions, detailed answers and it’s easy to browse. The contact link is found at the bottom of the home page, but all this does is open a sliding panel for live chat.
This site offers email support and live chat, but no phone support. The system is nevertheless pretty good and the team seem to be on the all. In other words, support is good here but not perfect, as it could be a little easier to access.
Bonuses & Promotions
Promotions, unfortunately, don’t seem to be this site’s strong point. You can find some offers by checking out the site blog, but in terms of day to day offers, there just seems to be the welcome bonus and their special adventure system which is more of a loyalty reward. The site does do something called ‘reel races’ which are mini competitive play tournaments. This can earn you more spins and prizes. Their offers do at least seem to be unique and have artwork.
The welcome bonus is a hefty 200% up to £50 and comes with 180 free spins. You also get 20 spins when you first arrive. On your second and third deposit, you’ll get a 50% bonus. On your fourth and fifth deposit, you’ll get a 25% bonus. In total, there’s £1,200 to claim, details are not very clear. A proper promotions page would be nice. The good news is that the bonus has a low requirement of only 25x playthrough.
Device Compatibility
There is no page explaining the mobile functionality at Casumo, yet they do actually have an iOS app which is well rated and seems to work very nicely. Indeed, all players can access the site via their mobile or tablet browser.
The mobile site is very good, using the same kind of responsive, optimised design as the main site. You have a menu on the left and quick links on the right, with everything scaled down to the small screen and movable with taps and swipes. The games are well suited to mobile and run like a dream. A very strong mobile offering.
Variety & Originality
There are multiple providers contributing to Casumo, which is great for variety. You will find very nicely drawn NetEnt table games, including roulette, baccarat, blackjack, hold ‘em poker, punto banco and more. This includes some special titles like Monopoly themed roulette and live dealer games form Evolution Gaming, for that taste of real casino play.
The slots are varied here, with the video slots probably being this site’s biggest strong point. There are 20 jackpot games and over 200 video slots, from Microgaming, Williams, Barcrest and more. Rainbow Riches, Starburt and the Game of Thrones slot stand out. There’s no faulting variety here.
Loyalty & Rewards
There is no traditional loyalty or VIP system at Casumo, but there is a very original mission-based achievement system. Your character starts at the ‘hills of odd’ and can progress to other levels by completing tasks. Each one has some really nice artwork, so this is good fun. Completing tasks and taking part in reel races gives you ‘valuables’, which are rewards, such as free spins. You can even get items to customise your sumo mascot.
This is a fun system and it gives the site a ton of character, but most players will prefer a straightforward set of loyalty rewards.
