What we recommend instead
ShadowBet Casino Verdict
ShadowBet is an online casino with a heck of a lot going for it. We love its unique rewards system, huge choice of games, and superior playing experience. The only frustration that we can see could be a potential deall-breaker for some players is the 2.5% withdrawal fee.

Design & Usability
The ShadowBet website looks as unique as its name sounds, and the striking orange-and-black design and SB logo which comes complete with a royal crown make it stand out from its competitors. Unusually, the main menu is listed vertically down the left-hand side, and offers you just three options – Games, Promotions, and Ouroboros. You can sign-up or log-in using the buttons just above the menu, and below the menu, there’s a button that instantly launches the live chat service.
Dotted around the site, you’ll notice the silhouette of a suited young man, who is referred to on the “About Us” page as Jack Pot – the Boss of ShadowBet – which gives players a person to associate with the brand.
If you scroll down past the welcome offer advert, you get to the game lobby, where all of the available games can be viewed (or searched) by category. Even further down, there’s a section advertising the latest “hot promotions”, news, small wins, big wins, and largest jackpot that you can dip in and out of at your leisure.
Software & Gameplay
The lobby contains clearly marked sections which let you view thumbnails of the games within, and you can sort the selection by provider, popularity, or A to Z. The games load in a generously sized window that contains a set of controls for visiting the cashier, returning to the lobby, and viewing your recently played games.
Safety & Security
ShadowBet is owned and operated by MT SecureTrade Limited, and regulated and licensed by the UK Gambling Commission and the Malta Gaming Authority. A certified RNG (Random Number Generator) is used to ensure fairness, and the site is secured by SSL.
Payments & Withdrawals
Like its sister sites, ShadowBet offers a good range of payment methods, but not as extensive as some online casinos. You can currently choose from MasterCard, Visa, Skrill, Neteller, EUteller, and Bank Transfer, and Paysafecard.
The minimum withdrawal and deposit amounts are £10 and £20 respectively, and although no fees are charged for making deposits, there's a 2.5% fee which applies to withdrawal requests. E-wallet withdrawals are processing instantly while credit/debit card and bank transfer withdrawals take between one and three days.
Customer Support
You can contact the ShadowBet support team via email, post, or live chat. As the live chat service is only manned between 7 AM and 7 PM from Monday to Friday and between 9 AM and 5 PM on Saturday and Sunday, there’s the option to leave a message when the team are offline and they’ll get back to you as quickly as possible.
It would be good to see the customer service hours extended to 24/7, or at least a telephone number provided as an alternative.
Bonuses & Promotions
The Promotions page looks a little bare, but this (we believe) is because the Shadow Treasures loyalty system offers a host of rewards and opportunities to level-up.
There’s a welcome package which lets you claim up to 100 free spins and a 50% match bonus when you start funding your account. But, before you reach for your wallet, you’re invited to play the Ancient Ouroboros slot free-of-charge for the chance to win extra free spins with no deposit required.
The welcome package gives you 20 daily free spins for five days in a row when you make your first deposit of £20 or more. With your second deposit of £10 or above, you can get a 50% bonus up to £50.
On Tuesdays, there’s a promotion called Bet You Can’t Lose, which lets you claim 100% of your first bet back on specific games if you lose (up to £5 to begin with). And, every Wednesday, you can take advantage of Happy Hours between 3 PM and 5 PM to claim ten free spins provided you’ve made at least one deposit that week.
Device Compatibility
ShadowBet doesn’t mention its mobile offering, which is disappointing, but they do have a mobile-optimised site that you can reach from your tablet or mobile phone’s web browser. In essence, it’s exactly the same as the desktop site, but with more mobile-friendly controls and menus.
Variety & Originality
There are hundreds of games to choose from, including many of the latest slot releases, and because the casino is supplied by some of the world’s leading games studios (including Quickspin, Elk Studios, Microgaming, NextGen, NetEnt, Betsoft, Amaya, and Play’n GO) pretty much every genre and game variant is there for the taking.
The slots include Lost Vegas, Immortal Romance, Doctor Love, 300 Shields, Mega Moolah, Hall of Gods, Divine Fortune, and Mega Fortune.
You'll also find an exceptional selection of table games and live dealer games which range from Double Zero Roulette, Deuces Wild Multi-Hand, Punto Banco, and Pontoon to Live Double Ball Roulette, Live Blackjack, Live Dragonara Roulette. The only thing that appears to be missing is Baccarat.
Loyalty & Rewards
ShadowBet boasts an exclusive loyalty system that every funded member can take advantage of. Every wager that you place at the site helps to fill your “entertainment bar” to get you closer to your next reward. Each time you level up, you can play the Ouroboros game which offers prizes including free spins, smartphones, holidays, and cash. Plus, the majority of loyalty rewards offer you the chance to try and double them using a gamble feature.
