What we recommend instead
Chit Chat Bingo Verdict
Some of Cassava’s Dragonfish sites contain interesting and unique games and promotions – Costa Bingo is a good example. Others, like Chit Chat, use an old and tired format which, when not complemented by additional exclusive offers, are quite frankly rather boring. This means that Chit Chat is a very average site that isn’t particularly memorable. So, if you’d like to join a more innovative and rewarding Cassava site, we suggest you consider Costa, Wink, or 888Ladies.

Design & Usability
Chit Chat Bingo’s homepage is simple yet effective in showing you the kinds of games and promotions that are on offer. It uses a purple and yellow colour scheme, and proudly advertises its welcome bonus via a banner that takes up a good third of the screen. The main menu is one of the smallest we’ve encountered as it includes just four options: Join Now, Bingo, Games, and Promotions. However, we quickly spotted a major design flaw – the Help button is almost totally concealed by the welcome bonus banner, and for all we know, there could be further information hidden beneath it.
Once you’re logged in, you can easily navigate to the lobby, the cashier or your account using the one-click buttons at the top of the page.
Software & Gameplay
Dragonfish is one of the biggest names in the online bingo industry, and its software is both well designed and incredibly stable. It’s also compatible with mobile devices, and allows you to personalise many in-game features.
Safety & Security
Cassava is one of UK’s biggest bingo operators and takes player safety and security very seriously. Chit Chat is fully licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission, and displays the eCOGRA logo at the bottom of the homepage. It also uses a random number generator, a secure URL, and SSL encryption.
Payments & Withdrawals
Chit Chat accepts Visa, MasterCard, Neteller, Paysafecard, Maestro, Entropay, Wire Transfer, and Paypal.
The minimum deposit and withdrawal amounts are £5 and £20 respectively, and withdrawal requests take a total of four to ten days to complete.
Customer Support
Once you’ve played Hide and Seek to locate the link to the Help page, you’ll be able to view the various methods of customer support. You can read the FAQ, go to the Help Room to talk directly with an agent, send an email, or telephone. The customer service team work around-the-clock, all-year-round.
Bonuses & Promotions
It’s disappointing that Chit Chat Bingo doesn’t offer new players a no-deposit bonus. However, it does have a generous welcome bonus for first-time depositors. To claim it, you must deposit at least £10, after which you’ll receive a £20 bingo bonus, a £20 games bonus, and £30’s worth of free cards for the Grab a Grand Game. While the wagering requirements for the bingo bonus are fairly standard at 4x, the games bonus must be wagered through a whopping 80x before you can withdraw any associated winnings. The amount of winnings you can cash out is also capped at £400, which seems rather odd when you’re given the chance to win as much as £1,000 with your Grab a Grand free cards!
The promotions page is equally disappointing as it only contains the standard special events, loyalty scheme, and jackpot games offered by other Dragonfish bingo sites like Bingo Cove. Chit Chat could do with taking a leaf out of Lippy Bingo’s (its younger sibling) book, and adding some exclusive offers and graphics to make its promotions more appealing.
Device Compatibility
There’s no mention of any support for mobile devices on the Chit Chat Bingo website. However, we’ve checked and can confirm that you can play at the mobile-optimised, no-download site using your mobile web browser. It gives you access to the same range of games and, therefore, offers just as good a playing experience as the desktop software platform.
Variety & Originality
Chit Chat Bingo offers the standard Dragonfish 90-ball, 75-ball, and 5-line (Swedish style) bingo games that you’ll find at sites like Bingo Cove, as well as identical jackpot games (e.g. Grab a Grand, the 1 Million Race, and the Big £10k). The slots, instant wins, and casino games are the same too, although they do give you a good choice of Dragonfish, IGT, NetEnt, and WMS games to play.
There are four free bingo rooms. However, they’re only open to funded players who’ve made recent deposits apart from the Quids In room which allows non-funded roomies 72 hours’ access after they’ve registered.
Loyalty & Rewards
Chit Chat Bingo uses the standard Dragonfish loyalty plan, which includes four levels – Rookie, Pro, Master, and Champ. To make progress in the loyalty programme, you need to collect Jewels, and you get twelve Jewels for every £1 you deposit. As soon as you have one Jewel, you instantly move to the second level, and to reach the third and four levels, you’ll need to wager a minimum of £50 and £200 respectively.
Rookies don’t get any perks, but the top three loyalty levels do. The benefits include cashback (up to 15%), free spins (up to 15 per deposit), and free tickets to the monthly Big £10k game.
