Design & Usability
The first thing that struck us about Bingocams is the lack of a typically girly colour scheme. Instead, the operator uses light and dark blues interspersed with orange to give it a unisex appeal – a design element that we’d like to see used more often in the online bingo community.
There’re always so many things happening at Bingocams that we take our hats off to the web designers for managing not to overcrowd the homepage. There’s a scrollbar that highlights the welcome offers and current promotions, and another one beneath it where you can see the latest winners. The top menu bar is very concise while a more in-depth one is provided down the left-hand side. There’s also a scrollable section called “In the Spotlight” which showcases the day’s special events.
Software & Gameplay
Bingocams uses proprietary software that is both easy to use and exceptionally stable.
The desktop site encourages you to interact with your fellow roomies and chat hosts via webcam, and if you’re lucky enough to land a full house prize, you could grab 15% extra with the site’s exclusive Live Win Moments (don’t forget to pose as soon as your win is announced!) While the use of webcam technology is a unique and appealing aspect of the site, we can imagine that some people might be too shy to turn their camera on, and if you’re having a bad hair day or playing in your onesie, you might not want the world to know. The good thing is that you can still play sans webcam, so don’t let it put you off.
The chat hosts aren’t just friendly; they’re also delightfully bonkers, and you can see them talking to you in real time via their video feeds.
At the top of the homepage, you can see how many players are currently online and how many people have active webcams. When we visited at an off-peak time on a weekday, there were 55 people online and 8 active webcams, which just goes to show that you don’t have to switch your webcam on unless you want to.
Safety & Security
While the site doesn’t use a secure URL, it assures you that all card payments take place on a securely hosted page provided by Paypoint. SSL Digital Coding is also used to secure all electronic transactions as per online security standards. You can find out more about the operator’s security and fair play policies, privacy conditions, and licensing details by looking for the links at the bottom of any page.
Payments & Withdrawals
Deposits can be made via Visa, MasterCard, Neteller, Skrill, and Paysafecard, and most payouts are processed within one working day. You can enter bonus codes directly in the Cashier, and any codes that are currently available are listed on the same page.
Customer Support
The Live Help launch button and the current status of the service is clearly visible thanks to a tab on every page. As we were surprised to find it offline at 10am, we looked a little closer and eventually discovered that it’s only available between 1pm and 9pm. This is a little disappointing, particularly as there’s no telephone support available, and Live Help is the only way of getting hold of the customer service team immediately.
However, there is an in-depth online helpdesk system which can answer many queries immediately, and if you fail to find a solution, there’s a contact form that you can submit.
Bonuses & Promotions
Bingocams offers a huge 300% welcome bonus up to £150 and 25 free spins on Starburst when you make your first deposit of at least £10.
Although the site’s owners (Dazzletag Entertainment) have launched two more bingo sites since Bingocams was launched (Bright Bingo and Trendie Bingo), the promotions at Bingocams are totally unique. They mainly revolve around bingo rather than slots, and include themed special events for occasions such as Valentine’s Day, Easter, and Halloween where fancy dress is encouraged but purely optional, bingo tournaments, chat host games, penny games, and guaranteed jackpot events.
Device Compatibility
All mobile and tablet devices with an internet connection work with Bingocams’ mobile website. However, the technology to include the webcam functionality isn’t there. This isn’t really the operator’s fault as not all people have devices with front-facing cameras, and we imagine that running the camera for hours at a time, would drain the battery very quickly.
The availability of games for mobile players is good, with both 90-ball and 75-ball bingo on offer, as well as multiple slots and table games.
Variety & Originality
There are plenty of exclusive bingo games to play, many of which offer extra features and prizes in exclusive rooms such as Bling Bling, Mega Money, Rollover Riches, and Soho. There are no networked rooms/games, however, because it’s a standalone site. Bingocams also boasts an impressive array of progressive room jackpots and runs daily guaranteed jackpot games.
You can experience the thrill of live roulette, blackjack, and baccarat, non-live table games, video poker, and scores of slots from two of the world’s top slots manufacturers – Microgaming and NetEnt.
Loyalty & Rewards
Bingocams’ loyalty rewards system gives players status points for winning bingo games (including one-line wins) rather than giving members who spend the most money the biggest perks. With each rise in level, you get more perks. There’s even the opportunity to progress to VIP status which comes with free spins, birthday gifts, goodie bags, bonuses, and cashback benefits.
