Launched in 2005, Foxy Bingo has grown massively since its inception and is now regarded as one of the biggest bingo sites in the UK. With a strong brand (see conclusion for update), it's easy to see where this popularity has come from. Does Foxy Bingo represent the best that 888's Dragonfish network has to offer?
Foxy is a remarkably simple site to navigate and pioneers in a sea of overused templates. The site adopts a modern single page design with a menu that navigates to the respective area of the page. Click on casino for example and you will be swiftly scrolled to the casino games.
The homepage is neatly laid out and offers itself to modern mobile design trends - which is great for ease of use. Finding the options to join or login are once again easy to find. Once logged in, navigating the lobby is effortless with a slider to navigate to the various games and a show all slots banner that brings up all slot games.
Overall, the site is slick and stylish, which is something that can be also said of the mascot. The branding for the site is particularly strong with personality injected even into the very words of the site. Foxy Bingo just feels like a fun brand overall and impresses in the aesthetics department.
While Foxy doesn’t offer anything innovative in the areas of support, we have to give the site extra points for marking the contact options so clearly. On the right hand side of the page, you will find a need help tab - click this to reveal the phone and email support lines. Additionally, if you need to brush up on your bingo knowledge, there’s a range of FAQs available.
The Foxy support team are also available via the social media channels, with Facebook being one of the quickest ways to contact the site. Okay, so once again no innovation, but It’s the fact that the site doesn’t bury its contact options within layers of T&Cs that impress us most of all. We wish more sites would adopt this approach for sure.
Like the extravagant all singing, all dancing TV adverts - Foxy likes to put on a show and this is especially true of the promotions. There’s not a week that will go by without a giant bingo jackpot to be won. In the past, the site has given out as much as £200k in jackpot bingo prizes. Our only criticism of the offers is that they are bingo centric - slot lovers won’t find a great deal here.
Wagering at the site is fairly average at 4x for bingo - but the slots wagering is misleading to say the least. At first, the wagering seems reasonable at only 40x. However, unlike some sites which allow 100% of slot wagers to go towards the wagering requirements - Foxy only allow 90%. So that 40x actually turns into 44x. Very cheeky Foxy - apparently the natural slyness of the fox is creeping into the site...
888’s Dragonfish software is featured on more bingo sites than any other platform right now, and it’s easy to see why. It offers a consistent, reliable experience for players with a number of useful features and personalisation options.

Mobile bingo players will enjoy playing at Foxy with multiple options available. The easiest way to play bingo on the go is to head to the site in a smartphone or tablet web browser, which will allow you access to the instant play mobile client.
If you own an iPhone or iPad, you can even download the Foxy Bingo app which will allow you to launch your favourite bingo games with just one tap. Unfortunately, there is no Android app currently available - but the most Android devices are compatible with the instant play client.
The software on Foxy has been rigorously tested to ensure your online safety at all times. Payments are processed using the latest encryption technologies and the games use an industry standard RNG. This means that all game results are totally random so you can be safe in the knowledge that nothing is predetermined.
Bingo players will truly feel spoilt for choice at Foxy with one of the largest collection of bingo games we have ever seen. These games are not networked with other Dragonfish sites, so all of the players in the rooms are actual Foxy players. With a huge selection of 90 ball and 75 balls games, there’s many different rooms to fit varying budgets.
The slot games are your standard Dragonfish fare with over 200+ titles to play. However, players looking for something new will find several exclusives available on the site - like Foxy’s World and “The Only Way Is Essex” branded slot games.
Exclusives don’t stop there either - the site recently launched a new type of bingo game which uses cards called Foxy Fives. It’s not a bingo revolution but it certainly adds to the variety of the games available.
Foxy doesn’t have the biggest selection of payment methods available, but what is available could be argued to be the most popular. Credit and debit card come as standard, while players who prefer e-wallets can use Paypal and prepay players can use Paysafecard. Making a deposit is relatively easy with the new cashier software from Dragonfish in place.
Withdrawal process times are a little steep, taking between 48-72 hours. Add this to the time it takes for a payment to hit the chosen payment method, and you can be looking at a week plus before you receive your funds. It’s a lengthy withdrawal time, even by normal bingo site standards.
The VIP club of Foxy really should be getting higher marks, but we have to take away points. On one hand, the benefits are excellent: weekly bonuses, spins, access to exclusive bingo rooms, invites to events… it really does feel like you would be valued playing at this site. However, the requirements to join this club are unknown. We are guessing there is a certain level of deposits and wagering that needs to be made, but without direction - how do you know what to aim for?
Foxy Bingo is one of the biggest bingo site’s in the UK and for good reason; it’s fantastic. The design, variety and excellent branding just make it feel like a fun site to play at. If the VIP programme was more polished and some of the wagering was ironed out, this would be possibly the best bingo site out there.
Update - March 2017: Foxy Bingo recently relaunched its website and brand in a high-profile promotional campaign starring Hollywood actress, Heather Graham. This has proved controversial among many bingo review portals who view the change as too much of a contrast with the original northern character.
Foxy owners, GVC PLC have also been subject to widespread industry disapproval following their decision to stop using affiliate marketing to promote their sites. You can read more on the story here.
