Sea Bingo verdict

Sea Bingo sets sail with a fun theme and a good set of quirky bingo games. This is a Virtue Fusion site, like Beaky Bingo and Vernons Bingo, so you expect a certain quality. Will the site make a splash, or is it a bit wet?

design & Usability

When you arrive at Sea Bingo you’re greeted by a bold, blue site with a great seaside background, from the ocean and islands to a beach at the bottom. They have a friendly fish mascot and a no-nonsense home page that directs you straight to the top bingo rooms.

The site is easy to explore, with a top bar and all the usual sections. They have an About page which gives you a small introduction. Overall, the site feels a little empty, but it’s also very simple and easy on the eye. Lack of clutter is not a bad thing. On the downside, you can only access accounts and banking through the pop-up lobby, plus there’s a missing Terms and Conditions page.

customer Support

The main site’s Help page will direct you to an email address and a few lines telling you that live chat can be found on the lobby… but that turns out to be misleading. Live chat can only be accessed by playing on mobile devices, which is quite a poor state of affairs. It wouldn’t matter if there was a phone line as a backup, but there isn’t. On the plus side, we found the hosts to be very helpful.

There’s also a help section and some FAQs within the lobby, but they pop up in a very small window. Overall, help needs to be easier to access.

bonuses & Promotions

The welcome bonus at Sea Bingo is £30 free when you spend £10, which is split between £10 ‘multivariant’ games and £20 bingo. The £10 Multivariant Bonus can only be used in the Members Only & Seabie room, while the other amount can be used in a few more. Before you can withdraw, each of those bonuses must be wagered through three times, separately. Unnecessary complications there.

Otherwise, the site does not have many promotions. They have some free bingo offerings and a massive £500,000 up for grabs on weekends, but nothing particularly new. On the plus side, all promotions feature their artwork.

software & Gameplay

Sea Bingo has a very nice lobby, in a calm, blue tone with account controls at the top and games in the middle. It’s very easy to follow and looks smart. There’s also a neat sliding menu on the left, so overall you get a smooth experience here.

The bingo rooms are equally nice. Any rooms with bonus features give you an explanation as you enter. They have some animated bingo games and a nice, big chat window with features like buddies and private messaging. Chat seems to flow throughout the day and hosts are quick to say hi.

device Compatibility

Sea Bingo does not have a page to explain their mobile setup, or any apps. However, you can access the site on most mobile and tablet devices.

The mobile software is actually very good and runs smoothly, plus you get access to live chat help this way. You can also join in chat, though the window is quite small. A decent counterpart to the main site.

safety & Security

Everything’s good here, with Sea Bingo being licensed and regulated by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission and the UK Gambling Commission. You can also find a link to their third-party Online Dispute Resolution provider.

The site has a privacy policy and responsible gaming policy on display. They also encrypt user details and transaction as you’d expect, though the site’s main security certificate needs an update just to tick that box for your browser.

variety & Originality

Variety is strong at Sea Bingo, thanks to a series of special game rooms. These include Deal or No Deal bingo, Rainbow Riches bingo, Cash Cubes, speed bingo and more, with bonus rounds and more ways to win. That’s always good to see, instead of just plain old bingo. You can play 90 ball, 80 ball and 75 ball modes. Overall, it’s a smallish but very varied and interesting selection.

The slot selection is vast, featuring some big-name slots like Rainbow Riches. A strong set of high quality games, with features and progressive jackpots.

payments & Withdrawals

Banking has to be done through the lobby at Sea Bingo and it opens another window after that, which is annoying but not the end of the world. The cashier is a little rough looking and small, definitely not as sleek as the main site. Nevertheless, it’s simple enough to use.

Payment methods accepted include credit and debit cards, PaySafeCard and Paypal. A decent selection, with PayPal always welcome, but some more e-wallets would be ideal.

VIP Programme

The VIP setup at Sea Bingo is… coming soon! It seems they don’t currently have a VIP offering, but there is a page advertising a VIP programme in production, featuring bonuses, progress tiers and ‘VIP winners’. All you can do is wait and see, really.

conclusion

Sea Bingo feels like a site that’s almost there but needs a bit more work. Hopefully that will come soon, because they have a strong foundation, between the interesting games and fun site artwork. This doesn’t feel like every other site, but nor is it consistently ahead of the pack. Maybe it’ll be ship-shape soon?
