Candy Shop Bingo verdict

Candy Shop Bingo is an online bingo brand from Cassava/888 that started life in mid-2015. Its colourful sweetie-themed website is headed up by Betty the Candy Collector, and its shelves are stacked high with slots, casino games, and three types of bingo that everyone can enjoy. But will the site have you drooling like the proverbial kid in a candy shop?

design & Usability

The Candy Shop Bingo website is very pink. There’s light pink wallpaper, baby pink icing dripping down over the welcome offer banner which also has pink-and-white candy cane edging, and hot pink section headers with fuchsia pink backgrounds. While it makes the site look very girly, we can see why the designers have used so much pink to help enhance the sugary sweet shop theme.

There’s a concise menu, buttons that allow you to join or log in, a link to the brand’s Facebook page, and several sections that you can click for more information on penny bingo, Betty’s Candy Collector, and bouncing jackpot games. There’s also a rotating wheel which features recent big winners, and a conveyor belt which displays a selection of the most popular slots.

customer Support

While Candy Shop Bingo provides its members with 24/7 support, there’s no live chat facility. You can get in touch by visiting the Help Room (N.B., you’ll find it listed under the chatroom drop-down menu) where CHs are available to help with general questions, email, telephone, or Facebook Messenger. While the Help Room is a useful addition, the CHs are unable to help with technical or financial queries, so if you need a quick response, we’d suggest telephoning as the average response times for email and Facebook Messenger are three and two working days respectively.

bonuses & Promotions

Candy Shop Bingo offers new roomies making their first deposit of £10+ a 300% bingo bonus and a £10 games bonus. You can claim up to £100 with the bingo bonus, and to withdraw any winnings gained from your free funds, you’ll need to first meet the 4x bingo bonus and 30x games bonus wagering requirements.

While the site runs a few of the standard Dragonfish promotions like Late Night Show, Pennies Make Pounds, The Big £10k, Wacky Wings Party, and Big Night In, it does have a couple of exclusive promotions. For example, the Candy Collector bonus game is unique to Candy Shop Bingo, and you can play it with Candy Coins. You get two free Candy Coins when you sign-up at the site, and one coin for every £10 you deposit during your lifetime as a member. The game offers prizes like bonuses of £10 to £200 and 5,000 loyalty points.

Betty’s Bonus Spinner is a Wheel of Fortune-style game that guarantees a win on every spin.

software & Gameplay

As Candy Shop Bingo is a Cassava/888 brand, it runs on 888’s Dragonfish software. The software provides you with an easy-to-use interface for both the lobby and cashier, reliable gameplay, and a choice of three bingo variants (90-ball, 75-ball, and High 5), as well a good selection of slots and casino games.

device Compatibility

Information about playing on your mobile device is listed under the Promotions page, as well as via the images at the bottom of the site labelled “Play on Smartphone” and “Play on Tablet”.

The mobile page mentions there’s an app for iOS and Android devices. However, we don’t believe this information is correct as the Apple iTunes app store brought up no results for Candy Shop Bingo, and the Google Play (Android) store doesn’t allow gambling-related applications. But, you can still play at Candy Shop on your mobile by visiting the main Candy Shop Bingo website in your mobile web browser.

safety & Security

Candy Shop Bingo is regulated and licensed and regulated by the Great Britain Gambling Commission, as well as the Gibraltar Gambling Commissioner. At the bottom of every page, you’ll find links to Responsible Gaming, Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Fair Play. 128-bit SSL encryption is used to protect your sensitive data, and a random number generator helps ensure that every game gives a fair outcome.

variety & Originality

High 5, 90-ball, and 75-ball bingo games run across multiple rooms, and you can enjoy penny games every lunchtime in Pennies Make Pounds and daily bouncing jackpots in the Bounce’T room. There are super-sized jackpots up for grabs in the monthly Big £10k, and smaller amounts on offer (such as £100) in the Late Night Show. There are oodles of slots, scratch cards, and casino games too, which are by Eyecon and NetEnt. Currently, there’s just one original game – Betty’s Candy Collector – and while we’d love to see more exclusive games, one is better than none, so Candy Shop get’s an extra star for making the effort.

payments & Withdrawals

The available banking methods are Visa, MasterCard, Paypal, Paysafecard, Maestro, Entropay, and Neteller. You can deposit as little as £10 per transaction, and submit withdrawal requests of £20 and above. Withdrawals are processed within 48 hours.

VIP Programme

Although we’ve seen the same loyalty programme at other Dragonfish sites such as Costa Bingo, we like that it embraces all players, not just high rollers. It starts you off as a Rookie and lets you work your way towards Champ by making deposits to your account. Although your progress is reset at the start of each month, you can maintain Pro Level by spending just £5 per month and Master Level by spending £50 per month. The benefits of the scheme range from free spins (5 to 10), and free cards for The Big £10k jackpot game to monthly slots and bingo cashback.

conclusion

A large part of Candy Shop Bingo is made up of Cassava’s standard games and promotional offerings, but we like that Candy Shop gives you a couple of exclusives on top such as Betty’s Candy Collector and Betty’s Bonus Spinner.
