Film Bingo verdict

Film Bingo is a unique site which not only has a film theme, but aims to help out indie film makers. This is a Jumpman site and shares some promotions with Zingo Bingo and Elf Bingo. Will this site be a box office hit for players?

design & Usability

The artistic design here is quite stark and white, which is a little bland but it does look smart and makes sense once you click that it’s a monochrome theme, like old movies. They use lots of little film related images and have some nice welcome text. The theme is used on some promotions too, so it’s not just a stock template.

Getting around is aided by a top navigation bar and neatly laid out pages. They have an extra section which showcases the film projects that this site has helped to fund, so visitors here get treated to some unique indie cinema! Not many bingo sites can say that!

customer Support

There is a help section easily reached from the main site, which has plenty of information. It’s a little text heavy but everything is explained here and there are even game rules, which is nice for complete beginners.

You have the options of email or phone here. They do not have a live chat option sadly, but the support team do seem to be good and quick to respond.

bonuses & Promotions

Promotions here are built around standard Jumpman site promotions, but they also go a bit further. This is always a good thing! The basics are pretty good already, with Friday night takeaways up for grabs and various weekly jackpots and special games. Everything has a bit of fun to it with some artwork or interactivity.

Certain promotions use the Film Bingo artwork, plus they have some exclusives, such as Birthday Box Office which can net you a birthday prize. They also run Facebook competition for film related prizes. The main selling point of this site is that proceeds go towards the UK film industry, helping independent film makers get their talents seen.

The welcome bonus is £20 for your first £10 deposit, plus like many Jumpman sites you can spin a wheel for an extra bonus on top. This has a 4x bonus as standard but note that some of the bonus is for non-bingo games, on a 40x requirement.

software & Gameplay

The game lobby here loads pretty quickly, but it’s also a little bland. You get a template layout with a little animation. Controls are at the top and easy to access, while bingo is arranged by tabs. Individual rooms could use a bit more artwork to differentiate them.

The bingo game is just like any Jumpman game. For those who haven’t seen them before, this is a neat but slightly basic bingo which is easy to follow. Chat can be made larger if you sacrifice mini games. We found the chat to be very quiet and lacking a host, but this may not be the case at peak times.

device Compatibility

The site is lacking a section to explain their mobile play functionality, plus it does not have any apps. You can play on mobile or tablets however, just by visiting the site in your browser. You use the same login details as on the main site.

The mobile site is neat enough, with everything sorted by game type and easily scrollable. You have some customisable options too. On the downside, the bingo itself is very basic and there’s no chat.

safety & Security

Film Bingo is licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission and you can view their license info online easily. The site needs an updated security certificate for your connection, but your personal info and transactions are protected by encryption.

You’ll also find useful responsible gaming guidelines here as well as options to combat problem gambling. The site’s fairness is guaranteed by the SQS independent testers.

variety & Originality

You have 90 ball and 75 ball on offer at Film Bingo. They have no other special variants sadly, but you do get several rooms of each type. There are VIP only rooms and free bingo offerings, including a huge monthly 1k free game. A little more variety would be nice, plus some original or themed games.

The casino selection is limited but does include roulette and blackjack. There are plenty of slots here, with some recognisable names like Gonzo’s Quest.

payments & Withdrawals

Film Bingo accepts all the main credit and debit cards; Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, Switch and Solo. Unfortunately, they do not accept any e-wallets or PaySafeCard. This puts them way behind and may be a deal breaker for some online players.

Depositing is otherwise very simple thanks to a neat on-page form, plus like most sites it gets quicker after the first time. Withdrawal is easy too but there is a minimum of £30.

VIP Programme

The VIP scheme here ties in with the film motif, aiming to give you a film star feel! The red carpet extends up five tiers, from basic member to black. However, the cost of progression is unclear and so are the rewards, but they do include deposit bonuses and a VIP rooms.

There’s also a VIP of the Month which is essentially a depositing competition. Winners gain a special prize. Nice idea, but it is limited to the highest rollers. Everyone else can use a standard loyalty points system to earn credit as they play.

conclusion

Film Bingo is a fun site with a distinct feel, which is half of the battle when it comes to standing out. Their movie emphasis is less about glitz and glamour and more about supporting the UK film industry, so if you’re into creativity and independent voices then this site will be good for you. They have some fun, unique promotions, but the games are very standard. Overall, an interesting site that stands out.
