Tidy Bingo Review

Updated Nov 27th 2018 By Ava Louise

Tidy Bingo operates on Jumpman Gaming’s 15 Network alongside sites like Clucky, Spice, and Showreel Bingo. It hosts 90-ball and 75-ball bingo games, as well as slots, scratch cards, instant wins, and table games. Not only does it offer its members the chance to play bingo for as little as 1p per card, but it also runs fixed prize jackpot games for budget-conscious players and a monthly Pay Day Jackpot game with a £2,000 prize pool. But, does Tidy outshine its fellow 15 Network members? Read on to find out…

Tidy Bingo Verdict

If there’s one word we’d use to sum up Tidy Bingo, it’s “neglected”. Despite the About page stating that the site was created by two bingo fans who wish to offer members a “personalised experience” and set the brand “apart from the crowd”, it looks like it’s fallen into disrepair. There are so many outdated pages and broken links that it almost feels as though you’re visiting a ghost town where the dining tables are all laid up but there’s not a soul in sight.

Design & Usability

Tidy’s bright and breezy website is very attractive, and if you like keeping your home in order, you’ll love the brand’s logo, which features a gleaming house propped up by a mop. The operator has also chosen to use unisex primary colours like blue, red, and yellow to make the site appealing to players of both sexes. The homepage highlights the welcome bonus, featured promotions, the Tidy Bingo blog, recent winners, and a “To Do List” which reminds you to buy your cards for upcoming special games throughout the week.

The main menu allows you quick access to the sign-up page, Getting Started guide, bingo, jackpots, promotions, winners, and the blog, and you can also register an account in less than a minute by clicking the prominent “Join Us Here!” button at the top.

Software & Gameplay

Tidy Bingo has seven bingo rooms (five 90-ball and two 75-ball). Some of these are networked, and a couple are standalone. A major problem is that if you want to play at 8 AM, there’re only one or two rooms open at this time and, therefore, there are hardly any players online until much later in the day. Plus, call us sticklers for spelling, but we couldn’t fail to notice that one of the main 90-ball rooms is called “Tidy Cupbaord”, which doesn’t look very professional. Surely, after three and a half years, Jumpman’s team would have spotted and amended this?

Safety & Security

Tidy Bingo is licensed and regulated by the Alderney Gambling Control Commission and the UK Gambling Commission, and uses an RNG from SQS to provide fair and random outcomes for all its games. Although we’re assured that the operator uses SSL encryption to protect sensitive data during transmission, we couldn’t find any mention of this on the website.

Payments & Withdrawals

Tidy’s payment methods are extremely outdated and do not cater for players who prefer to use e-wallets, bank transfers, or vouchers like Ukash. The options allow you to make deposits and withdrawals by Visa Debit, Visa Credit, Visa Electron, MasterCard, Solo, and Maestro.

The minimum amount you can deposit is £5 and the minimum amount you can withdraw is £30. Withdrawals are put into a pending stage for 48 hours, after which it can take between 7 and 14 working days for the money to reach your allocated card.

Customer Support

The Contact page clearly sets out the three ways of contacting the customer support team – email, telephone, and WhatsApp. Although the agents are extremely helpful, it’s frustrating that there’s no live chat service and that both the telephone and WhatsApp number are only manned between 9.30 AM and 6 PM when the majority of bingo players who have to go to work tend to play more in the early mornings and evenings.

Bonuses & Promotions

In the increasingly competitive world of online bingo, it’s surprising to find a UK operator which neither offers a no-deposit bonus nor allows non-funded players access to free games. These are both areas in which Tidy needs to improve if it wants to stay at the top of its game.

Currently, you can claim a 200% cash match bonus with your first deposit of £10 or more (N.B., the offer has a 4x bingo wagering requirement), and you also get to spin the site’s Bonus Wheel where you’re guaranteed to receive an additional bonus of £5 to £2,500. Finally, you’ll receive the key to the door of the Newbie Free Room to play cost-free games for seven days from the date you started funding your account. The Newbie Free Room opens daily between 8 PM and 11 PM and runs games that offer £3 jackpots.

If you deposit at least £20 within your first month, you’ll be entered into the First Timers Freebie prize draw for a chance to win exciting physical prizes such as picnic hampers, mini BBQs, and popcorn makers.

While Tidy runs a variety of other promotions including reload bonuses, chat games, a weekly lotto game, and charity games, we’re not convinced they’re updated very often as the Bumper Birthday Bonanza which ran in August 2016 was still listed as of December 2016, and many of the other promotions include information that’s six months out-of-date.

Device Compatibility

It’s disappointing that Tidy makes no reference to mobile play, and this is reflected in our score. However, the Jumpman Gaming software does allow you to play via smartphone and tablet HTML5-compatible web browsers, and although the mobile site looks pretty basic, it performs well enough.

Variety & Originality

A large proportion of the games and promotions on offer at Tidy are provided through the 15 Network and, therefore, can be found at most of Tidy’s sister sites. There are only two bingo variants available (90-ball and 75-ball), although the selection of slots and instant wins is more diverse. As for free games, besides the Newbies Free Room, there’s just one free 90-ball room which runs £1 jackpot games every five minutes, but if you’re a VIP, you gain access to the VIP Free Room between 10 PM and midnight daily.

Tidy tries to add value for its members through an exclusive 90-ball progressive jackpot which is available in the standalone room – the Tidy Cupboard. There’s also a Tidy Savers promotion which lets you bank your loyalty points and turn them into Love2Shop vouchers nearer Christmas.

Loyalty & Rewards

Every funded player can earn loyalty points by winning chat games, referring friends, and getting a full house on the Weekend Wad Golden Number. You also earn VIP stars when you play games with real cash and take part in Earn your Stars promotions, which help to give you a boost up the VIP ladder. There are five VIP levels and all of them offer redeposit bonuses of between 25% and 75%. However, monthly cashback, birthday bonuses, and free spins are only available at the second level and upwards. Tidy doesn’t specify how many VIP stars you must collect to progress through the programme.
