What we recommend instead
Silk Bingo Verdict
Silk Bingo gets off to a flyer with its design, but it’s more or less all downhill from that point on. The game selection is no more than average, the bonuses fall way short of what you’d expect, and the lack of VIP programme shows a real lack of foresight.
Effort is pretty much missing within the Silk Bingo platform, so unless you are specifically looking for a middle of the road bingo experience, we strongly suggest that you turn your attention elsewhere.

Design & Usability
The design of Silk Bingo is clearly one of peaks and troughs, as in some departments it excels, while in others it just falls flat. For starters, we love the fabulous looking red backdrop, as it just screams luxury, this is complimented by a beige banner that provides the perfect contrast. Even the logo, at least in our eyes, looks great and different to what we commonly see elsewhere.
The problems with the Silk Bingo UI come about through on-screen text, as the ‘About Us’ and ‘Promotions’ sections of the site simply hit players with a wall of text.
Speaking on the ‘Promotions’ page in particular, while its great that they openly address T&Cs, to throw them out through 88 lines of text is really counter-intuitive.
After putting the Silk Bingo website through its paces, it’s pretty clear that it needs polishing if it really wants to be seen as the complete package.
Software & Gameplay
Silk Bingo has a lot of faults, but the software in place isn’t one of them. 888 is the base network for all of the action that takes place here, so stability and speedy gameplay is pretty much a given.
In terms of popularity, Silk Bingo still struggles to drum up player numbers, but that hasn’t stopped the chat moderators from being some of the most friendly and engaging around.
Yes, the lack of exclusive games is a problem, but our hats are off to the chat moderators here, as they do their best to keep matters light and friendly.
Safety & Security
Silk Bingo at minimum is a secure online bingo platform, as it is licensed by both the Great Britain Gambling Commission (via 888) and the Gibraltar Gambling Commission (via Cassava Enterprises).
When it comes to fair play, it is worth taking a look at the FAQ page, as they detail such matter here in detail. Saying that, the fact that Silk Bingo doesn’t use a third party auditing service is a little concerning, as they state that “the system is also systematically tested by SilkBingo”, which indicates in-house testing.
Payments & Withdrawals
Silk Bingo allows members to exhibit total bankroll control. Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, and Paysafecard can all be linked to a Silk Bingo account, while funds can also be processed two-ways via PayPal and Entropay.
The problem with payment and withdrawals at Silk Bingo is that we couldn’t find a single ounce of related to transaction speeds on site.
Looking for other bingo sites that accept paypal, we've got a complete list for you to look over.
Customer Support
We believe that live chat support is a must for any online bingo platform in 2016, so you can only imagine our disappointment when we discovered that this is missing at Silk Bingo. What makes matters worse is the fact that the support options aren’t clearly displayed on screen either.
That being said, they do make up for this somewhat through a selection of other customer support methods. This includes an extensive FAQ page, 24/7 phone and email support, and even a dedicated VIP player’s hotline.
Bonuses & Promotions
Bonuses and promotions are a pillar of stability within the online bingo realm, as practically every site has them. While freebies are great, they are pretty lacklustre at Silk Bingo, something you wouldn’t expect given the brand’s high-class image. After registering, your first £10 deposit will be topped up with £50 in bonus funds and 50 free spins
The welcome bonus here is hardly awe inspiring, sadly it doesn’t get much better when delve deeper into what else is offered. At time of writing we found just three running promotions at Silk Bingo, which is simply doesn’t cut the mustard.
If Silk Bingo really has designs on being a leading online bingo platform, it’s certainly going to have to jazz up their bonus offering that’s for sure.

Device Compatibility
Let us just start by saying that Silk Bingo currently does not offer a dedicated app. This is a mark in the ‘con’ column for sure, but we found its dedicated mobile site to be an impressive substitute.
When visited through a HTML5 compatible web browser, you’ll find that Silk Bingo adapts fabulously to a smaller screen, with it bringing players an excellent on the go bingo platform.
Variety & Originality
If you arrived at Silk Bingo expecting to experience the latest in online bingo innovation, expect to be left feeling disappointed. The platform doesn’t venture too far outside of the norm, with 90-Ball Bingo and 75-Ball Bingo being the only consistent game rooms here.
There are some slot games here too, which are worth mentioning. But while entertaining, they don’t really make up for the lack of variety and originality at Silk Bingo.
Unfortunately, Silk Bingo fits the same model as other Dragonfish bingo sites with little variation or any unique features.
Loyalty & Rewards
Rounding off what really is a half-baked bingo site is the fact that there is no bingo VIP programme in place.
Considering that Silk Bingo has two years of industry experience, the fact that they haven’t addressed the lack of loyalty scheme in that time is pretty shocking.
