2016 has been an electric year for online bingo across the board, as new sites having been launching left, right, and centre. Considering just how competitive things have been between brands this year, it has taken something big for a new name to emerge from the pack. Enter Epic Bingo, a bingo site that appears to have the bit between its teeth as we head towards 2017.
The name really pulls no punches, as Epic Bingo promises to deliver an epic bingo experience. But, as we all know, you simply can’t take a bingo brand at face value these days, so does Epic Bingo live up to the hype? Is this a new industry name that has long-term potential? The review below reveals all!
Epic Bingo is far and away one of the most attention grabbing online bingo sites we’ve ever seen, with this actually being a doubled edge sword. While it’s great to see a site go all out on the colour front, at times it’s just over the top and actually goes against the games and promotions that it fronts. If we’re being honest, the design of Epic Bingo really does need some additional polish.
From a navigation perspective, Epic Bingo is pretty bog-standard. At the top of the screen there is a basic-looking toolbar that links players to ‘Home’, ‘Bingo’, ‘Slots’, ‘Casino’, ‘Games’, ‘Mobile’, ‘Promotions’, and ‘Help’, with sub-headings slotting in underneath. Moving around Epic Bingo is pretty no nonsense, which is in stark contrast to the website design used.
When it comes to customer support Epic Bingo is near enough perfect, as they provide members with a variety of ways to make contact. Live chat, email, web ticket, and phone lines are open 24/7, so the support team here is pretty much always within reach.
The FAQ page at Epic Bingo is also praiseworthy, as it’s truly in-depth, covering questions from security and safety all the way through to bonuses and promotions.
Epic Bingo makes up part of the Big Bingo Network, so you pretty much know what to expect when it comes to bonuses and promotions here. That being said, the ‘Welcome Bonus’ is surprisingly generous, as it dishes out £20 in no deposit cash just for registering.
Moving on, while there is plenty of choice on the promotions front, originality is a clear issue. As outside of the 20% weekly cashback, there is very little here that caught our eye. At Epic Bingo the bonuses are bland and boring, so it’s certainly a case of must do better in the future for this particular bingo brand.
Epic Bingo is a feature of the Big Bingo Network, so players can have very few qualms about load times and general reliability here. Adding to that, the rooms appear to be generally well populated, with the chat moderators helping give the Epic Bingo experience a little extra oomph.
Compatibility is another department in which Epic Bingo is able to bring out the big guns, as the brand’s mobile web-app is certainly one of the better platforms out there. Advertised proudly on desktop site, Epic Bingo is able to offer more than 50 games to members who want to play on the go.
Some form of dedicated app would have been nice to see, but we can’t really complain too much about Epic Bingo when it comes to device compatibility, as the mobile site here does the job.
Epic Bingo is licensed and regulated by both the UK Gambling Commission and the Isle of Man Gambling Commission. What this means to the likes of you and I is that Epic Bingo is certified as a legitimate bingo operation that adheres to industry rules and regulations.
As far as fair play is concerned, we discovered that Epic makes use of a Random Number Generator (RNG). However, it should be noted that they don’t carry out third party RNG testing, which is a slight mark against the safety and security of this site.
While the size of the game catalogue here is huge, it's also lacking in originality. With 90-ball bingo, 80-ball bingo, 75-ball bingo, 50-ball bingo, 30-ball bingo, and more, this online bingo operator pretty much has it all. However, as is problematic for many Cozy Games sites, there's nothing original to shout about.
Slots also play a part in the Epic Bingo experience, while a very limited selection of casino games also makes the cut.
Epic Bingo is certainly well rounded on the payments and withdrawals front, as they come up big with a wide variety of cashier options. MasterCard, Visa, Switch, Solo, Maestro, Skrill, Paysafecard, and Neteller can all be linked to your account, allowing for fast money management.
It should also be noted that withdrawal times come in at a little above average, at between 2 to 3 days from time of request.
We searched high and low, but we could find no signs of a VIP programme at Epic Bingo. This was a huge let down, as for a bingo site this happy to brag, you really would expect them to reward player loyalty in some capacity.
Epic Bingo may carry a bit of an overstatement within its name, but even we can’t deny the fact that this site has plenty going for it. The game selection here is Hall of Fame worthy, the mobile platform is really gathering pace, while the customer support options can certainly help out players in a jam. The biggest downside of Epic Bingo is the active member bonuses and promotions, as they are nothing short of sleep inducing.
While Epic Bingo doesn’t deliver an epically brilliant bingo experience just yet, with a few tweaks it’s possible that it might do in the very near future.
