Bright Bingo verdict

Bright Bingo, owned by Bingocams operator Dazzletag Entertainment, is a site with a very strong identity and welcoming feel. With unique software and a host of fun features, Bright Bingo looks set to shine. Does the hands-on experience have the same sparkle?

design & Usability

The site design at Bright Bingo is excellent, with a pleasant grass and sky background and a rainbow motif which highlights their sunny theme. The home page is perhaps a little cluttered, hitting you with lots of information and ads for games, but it’s also very interesting.

From floating links for live chat and social media to chatty information boxes, the site makes use of all available space to look positive and engaging. Finding your way around is pretty easy. Your account info is visible on the left-hand side of each page, which is unusual but certainly handy.

customer Support

The help page here starts off with a series of FAQs, each one splitting to sections and ending with a contact form in case your question hasn’t been covered. This is an interesting approach and should cover most problems. Otherwise you can simply email through a form, or use the 24/7 live chat. A phone number is not provided, unfortunately.

Overall the system is good and live chat works nicely. Staff are clearly trained to a certain standard and not just left to hold the fort.

bonuses & Promotions

Bright Bingo has some suitably bright promotions, which are themed as ‘events’. They’re mostly very original, such as a chance to win a month’s wage. The rest are largely prize jackpots, free bingo and the like. They pretty much have an offer on each day of the week, which is great to see.

The welcome bonus here is a large 300%, with a standard four-times wagering requirement. Terms are easily found from the promotions page. New players can also claim £2 credit straight away, but it has a higher ten times wager requirement. By and large the promotions are fun, different and interesting.

software & Gameplay

Bright Bingo’s software is exclusive, which makes it far more interesting to try out, even for bingo veterans. It loads quickly and fills the screen, making good use of the space. The lobby floats in the middle, rather than taking you off your page, which is a nice touch. Text is a little small, however.

The best thing about this software is that the chat box is HUGE! The chat takes up most of the page, making it very easy to read what everyone’s saying. Community-minded people will love this. Bingo is still perfectly visible, though the purchasing box is a little small. Rooms are fairly quiet but hosts are quick to make an effort.

device Compatibility

Bright Bingo is lacking a mobile app, but does have a mobile browser version of the site which should work fine on most devices. This is neatly laid out and has a good selection of games, including 98 slots. Interestingly, the bingo games are designed to be played in landscape orientation, which works well.

Surprisingly, on mobile the ticket shop is large (larger than on desktop!) while the chat box is turned into a tiny drop-down window. Strange that it’s the opposite of the desktop site, but nice to see chat as an option. Slightly clunky but works fine.

safety & Security

Bright Bingo is fully licensed by the UK Gambling Commission, displaying their information at the bottom of the site. They also carry IBAS and Gaming Labs certification logos, plus a Trust Pilot logo, so they are clearly proud of their credentials. They have a page dedicated to this information and an explanation of the Random Number Generator. Unfortunately, though the site does use a secure connection, they neglect to mention what kind of encryption they use on the site.

The site has a clear responsible gaming section with advice on getting help and options for self-exclusion.

variety & Originality

The bingo selection here is good, but limited to 90 ball and 75 ball. Another type would be nice, however within those you’ll find a huge mix of ticket prices, jackpot sizes and special games (BOGOF, free bingo and so on). The rooms are given some character by chat games and bonus rounds. A pleasing touch is that you can see which rooms currently have hosts, games and bonuses just by looking at icons on the lobby.

Bright Bingo’s slot section is enormous. Not only are there plenty of slots, many are licensed titles like Bridesmaids and Starburst. They have a mixture of big titles from Microgaming and NetEnt, two of the most popular games producers out there.

The bingo page on the main site has a fun explanation of how to play; check it out for a giggle!

payments & Withdrawals

The deposit system at Bright Bingo is pretty easy to use, with a series of buttons and dropdowns. Nice and modern, it doesn’t feel bolted on or complicated. You have the choice of Visa, MasterCard, Neteller, Skrill, PaySafeCard or entering a bonus code. It would be nice to see a couple of other options like PayPal, but by and large this is good coverage.

The site handily reminds you of any currently available bonus codes, too. Withdrawal times seem to be about average, 3-5 working days or less for e-wallets.

VIP Programme

Bright Bingo operates a nice, clear loyalty programme called Bright Sparks. You can find a bright, fun page detailing how it all works, which is pretty straightforward but also has plenty of extras.

You move up ten colour coded tiers (fitting with the rainbow theme) by collecting XP points when you spend cash on bingo. In return you get gold coins to spend in the gift shop, freebie games, birthday bonuses and more. Higher tiers get extra smilies in chat, VIP support, free spins and at the top, a dedicated account manager. All in all, this is what we like to see; a VIP system which has lots of rewards and doesn’t hide behind a layer of mystery.

conclusion

Bright Bingo is just what we like to see, a bingo site which doesn’t look and feel just like all the others. You can tell that it was built from the ground up, incorporating ideas like a huge chat box and social media. Touches like a community and chat host page make it welcoming to new players. Loyalty is rewarded clearly and the game selection is great. Just a few missing features away from matching the major bingo sites.
