Ace of Bingo verdict

Despite not being particularly well-known, Ace of Bingo has been around since 2014. It’s owned by 8 Ball Games – a company which owns multiple online bingo brands – but unlike most of its sister sites which run on Dragonfish and Cozy Games software, Ace of Bingo sits on the well-established Virtue Fusion network. As such, players have access to a much larger selection of online bingo variants than most of Ace’s competitors, plus a generous welcome offer that awards 150 free bingo tickets to first-time depositors. But, is the site really as ace as its name makes out?

design & Usability

The Ace of Bingo website is pink – very pink! But, there are some hints of blue which prevent it from feeling like it’s only out to attract female players. The brand’s logo is a bingo ball with the letter A in its centre, and as you might expect, the main menu sits at the top of the site with the login and sign-up area at the top-right.

You can instantly see the welcome offer thanks to the large advert near the top of the homepage. Underneath it, you’ll find a cut-down version of the lobby which you can navigate using three different categories (N.B., slots, bingo, and scratch cards) and the forward and backward arrow buttons, a list of recent winners, and an introduction to Ace of Bingo.

customer Support

Very surprisingly for a Virtue Fusion bingo site, Ace of Bingo only offers one method of support – email. Not only does this mean that an instant response is highly improbable, but the email address is also given as liam@aceofbingo.com which gives the impression that only one person works for the customer services team.

bonuses & Promotions

The main promotion that will be of interest to newcomers is the welcome offer, which currently lets you claim 150 free bingo tickets for the Bingo Bliss room when you deposit £10 or more. The terms and conditions state that you must first meet the 6x wagering requirements before being able to withdraw any winnings made from your bonus.

Provided you’ve topped-up your account in the last fourteen days, you can enjoy an hour of free bingo every Wednesday night.

Plus, provided you opt-in to being contacted by Ace of Bingo when you join the site, you’ll receive details of daily promotions which range from reload bonuses and freebies to prize giveaways.

software & Gameplay

Virtue Fusion is used at many high-profile online bingo sites, and at Ace of Bingo, it means that you get access to plenty of interesting game variants including Deal or No Deal, Rainbow Riches, Joker Jackpot, Multi-Balls, and Who Wants to be a Millionaire Bingo. However, Ace of Bingo lacks the full range of Virtue Fusion games such as Cash Cubes and X Factor Bingo.

device Compatibility

There’s no dedicated mobile page and no mobile app listed in either the Google Play or Apple Store, but we’ve confirmed that you can access Ace of Bingo via your device’s internet browser. While most bingo variants are accessible on mobiles, the range of slots and other games is less broad than the desktop site.

safety & Security

Ace of Bingo is licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission and the Alderney Gambling Control Commission. The page on Fair Play and Security explains how Random Number Generator software ensures that the outcomes of all games is completely random, and your personal information is secured via the latest encryption technology.

variety & Originality

You can enjoy 90-ball, 80-ball, 75-ball, and 30-ball speed bingo games at Ace of Bingo, as well as play in rooms where fun bingo variants like Deal or No Deal, Who Wants to be a Millionaire, Marine Mayhem, Rainbow Riches, and Jackpot Joker Bingo games are hosted.

There are also lots of fun slots and scratch cards to enjoy, including Fluffy Favourites, Britain’s Got Talent Superstar, Wild Gambler, Piggy Payout, and Clover Rollover plus scratch cards like Beachside Bonanza, Ladies Night, Arabian Delights, and Golden Balls Quick Scratch.

We were unable to locate any casino games or video poker games, which is a shame.

payments & Withdrawals

Ace of Bingo offers the following banking methods: Visa, Visa Electron, Visa Delta, MasterCard, Maestro, Solo, Switch, Paysafecard, and Paypal. Unfortunately, Skrill and Neteller are not available at present.

You can deposit between £5 and £1,000 per transaction and withdraw between £10 and £10,000.

Cashing out your winnings requires some patience as it can take up to five working days for withdrawal requests to be processed.

VIP Programme

The VIP Elite Club is an invitation-only VIP scheme that operates at Ace of Bingo. You start off as a Ruby VIP, and can get promoted to Emerald VIP. The benefits of the programme range from invitations to special VIP events, birthday treats, cashback, upgrade bonuses, and a personal VIP manager to membership of the VIP lottery syndicate.

Sadly, there’s no explanation of the entry requirements, but we suspect that players who spend a considerable amount of money and time at the site are the most likely to be offered membership of the VIP club.

conclusion

Compared to competitor sites on the same network such as Coral Bingo, Ace of Bingo doesn’t look as slick, offer full customer support or feature casino games. But, for the average player, it still ticks enough boxes to warrant a closer look.
