Bingo On The Box Verdict
While Bingo on the Box has some good elements such as its superb selection of slots and casino games, 24/7 customer service, and full range of flexible banking methods, there are too many negatives to make us want to stick around. If online bingo sites were ranked like TV ratings, Mecca and Gala would be raking in record numbers of viewers each week while Bingo on the Box would be one of those television shows that’s not often watched unless absolutely nothing else is on.

Design & Usability
Bingo on the Box uses simple cartoon images of a television set (Bob), and the colour scheme is a relaxing (although not that exciting) purple and blue. Across the top of the homepage, there’s the main menu bar which lets you navigate between the lobby, games, promotions, support, and banking pages. Beneath it, a scrolling advertising banner highlights special offers such as the welcome bonus and new rooms. Then, there are several sections that show you the top-rated games, new games, and progressive room jackpot values. You can visit the lobby with one-click where you can access your account with another click.
Software & Gameplay
Bingo on the Box is powered by Microgaming, and uses the same lobby design as other Microgaming sites like Dream Bingo. The lobby lets you browse the different game types, view the schedule, and pre-buy cards, as well as see how many players are currently in each room. When we visited mid-morning on a weekday, there were only just over fifty players, but this could be because only three of the six rooms were open as the Speed and Immortal Romance games only run in the evenings, and the Newbie Room doesn’t state its opening times. However, we were able to find chat moderators in each room that we visited, who seemed to be doing their best to get the roomies talking.
There aren’t any exclusive games to play, although Immortal Romance Bingo is only available at Microgaming bingo sites. Also, the rooms are networked and, therefore, the prizes can be won by players at other Microgaming bingo sites.
Safety & Security
Bingo on the Box is licensed and regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission, and displays the eCOGRA logo. Customer support is available 24 hours a day, all-year-round, via telephone, live chat, and email. Oddly, we couldn’t find a FAQs page, although the game rules can be viewed via a dedicated page.
Bonuses & Promotions
The Promotions page contains four tabs: Latest Promos, New Player Bonus, Community, and Loyalty Club. Unfortunately, the ‘Latest Promos’ section rarely contains any new offers. Instead, it lists the site’s three jackpot showstoppers – the £10k Treasure Jackpot (which is up for grabs every half an hour in the Day Dreamer Room), the £5k Multilevel Jackpot (available every evening in the Sunset Strip and Day Dreamer Rooms), and the £1k Community Jackpot.
Under the ‘New Player Bonus’ section, the welcome offer seems to be listed twice. It offers you a 300% bonus with your first deposit of £5 or more, although the confirmation email we received after signing up states that the minimum deposit is £10. The maximum bonus you can claim is £150, and before you can withdraw any winnings, you must meet the 3x wagering requirements.
If Bingo on the Box wishes to seriously compete with other top UK bingo sites, it really needs to up its game by adding more regular and unique offers.
Device Compatibility
Playing on mobile devices isn’t mentioned anywhere on the desktop site, which is disappointing. However, we were able to successfully log into our Bingo on the Box account via an Android smartphone’s web browser, and found all of the bingo rooms are available in a mobile-optimised format, as well as an excellent selection of slots, table games, and video poker games.
Variety & Originality
There’s no denying that there’s masses of non-bingo related games to choose from, including popular slots, jackpot slots, table games, live dealer games, poker, instant wins, and scratch cards. When it comes to bingo, however, you can only play 90-ball and 75-ball games, although the fact that Immortal Romance Bingo is on offer is an advantage.
The amount of jackpot games is fairly average, with a £1,000 guaranteed game running every Friday night, £50 High £5 jackpots running daily between 2 PM and 10 PM, and a £600 Fiesta game playing on Friday evenings. The downsides are the number of rooms (N.B., there are six, and one of these is the Newbie Room) and their limited opening hours, and the fact that there’s nothing original to Bingo on the Box, as all of the games and rooms can be found at other sites like Dream Bingo.
Loyalty & Rewards
The site’s loyalty club gives you one point for every £10 wagered, and once you’ve collected 1,000 points, a £10 casino bonus is automatically credited to your account balance. So, to get £10 of free credit, you’ll need to spend £10,000 – a heck of a lot more than the average player would spend over the course of a year. Plus, as you only have ninety days from when you last played at Bingo on the Box to redeem your loyalty points before they expire, you’ll actually have to wager £10,000 in less than three months. The only positive is that you gain 500 LPs free-of-charge when you register an account (with no deposit required).
There are six levels in the loyalty scheme and to become a member of each one, you must collect the required amount of LPs as follows: Blue (0); Silver (2,500); Gold (4,500); Platinum (8,000); Diamond (10,000); Privé (25,000+). The only visible benefit of the programme is a bigger percentage of extra LPs the higher you get.
