JenningsBet is an independent bookmaker which was founded in 1961 and currently owns more than one hundred retail stores throughout the UK. According to its website, it’s the oldest betting company in Britain, and its website offers both casino games and sports betting services to UK customers. It also owns an online poker site called JenningsPoker. So, do decades of experience in the gambling industry mean that JenningsBet Casino is well-placed to meet players’ expectations?
JenningsBet Casino doesn’t exact dazzle, but it’s more than just a basic site. The background consists of a floodlit football pitch, and the main colours that are used are black and bright green. The “Casino” tab sits between the “Sports” and “Shops & Recruitment” tab of the main menu, and directly beneath it is the games lobby. There are no promo banners which is one of the reasons that the site looks quite plain, but there is a section at the top-right for members to log-in and new players to sign-up.
The live chat service can be initiated by clicking on the green “Chat” icon which is fixed to the right-hand side of the homepage.
The lobby is divided into four different categories for Slots, Jackpots, Table Games, and Video Poker.
The live chat operating times are not advertised, and the only other way to get in touch with the customer service team is by email as a telephone number is not provided.
The only promotions offered by JenningsBet Casino are two sports betting offers – one for Acca Protection and the other a “Best Odds Guaranteed” on UK and Irish horseracing offer. It’s extremely disappointing that there are no casino promotions whatsoever, so if you’re hoping for a handsome welcome bonus package or ongoing reload bonuses, you’ll have to look elsewhere.
JenningsBet Casino is powered by TGP Europe Ltd., the latter of which operates a number of other online casinos including Fun88, SetantaBet, BetVision, and TLCBET. TGP is a white label solution that provides an off-the-shelf platform for online casinos to run on. As this review concentrates on the casino element of JenningsBet and not the sports betting element, we’ve only trialled the software for casino games. The games are available in both real-play and demo mode. Games open in a new browser tab in full-size, and at the top of the screen, you can see your current session time as well as the current time. Sadly, there’s no link back to the lobby, so when you’ve finished playing a game, you must manually close the current window and go back to the browser tab where you started out.
We were unable to find any information on device compatibility and, therefore, headed off to check the iTunes and GooglePlay stores for any sign of a mobile app. The only mobile app that exists is a Bet Tracker. So, if you wish to play JenningsBet Casino games on the move, you need to visit the main website through your device’s web browser and log-in as normal.
JenningsBet Casino offers a modest range of online slots, jackpot slots, table games, and video poker, which are provided by Microgaming, Just For The Win, Rabcat, Amaya, NextGen Gaming, and Multislot.
The slots include 108 Heroes Multiplier Fortunes, Castle Builder II, Gnome Wood, Halloweenies, Gold Strike, Machine-Gun Unicorn, and Ragnarok while the eleven jackpot slots feature famous names such as Cash Splash, King Cashalot, Mega Moolah, Treasure Nile, and Major Millions.
The selection of table games is quite small, and incorporates American Roulette, Baccarat, Mahjong, Premier Roulette, and Classic Blackjack Gold. There are also five video poker variants to choose from: Jacks or Better, Aces and Eights, Deuces Wild, Aces and Faces, and Aces and Faces Power Poker.
JenningsBet Casino accepts a limited range of payment methods, including Visa, Neteller, Skrill, and MasterCard. You can deposit or withdraw a minimum of £5 per day and a maximum of £5,000 per day, and JenningsBet does not apply any processing fees. No timescales are provided for withdrawals, but the “Deposits and Withdrawals” page states that JenningsBet aims “to process your requests as quickly as possible”.
JenningsBet Casino does not operate a VIP programme, nor does it offer players a comps/loyalty points scheme. Personally, we feel that the lack of such a programme will prove off-putting to many players.
When viewed as a sole entity, JenningsBet Casino simply can’t compete with bigger UK brands like 32Red, Mr Green, Ladbrokes Casino, and BGO as it lacks full customer support, a VIP scheme, live casino games, and any casino-specific promotions. Therefore, the only people we believe would wish to play here are members of the JenningsBet sports betting site looking to expand their horizons and winning opportunities by playing slots and table games.
