Yohoo Slots verdict

Although Google now dominates the internet search engine market, there will doubtless be those among you who remember Yahoo. Therefore, we’re keen to point out that the newest addition to the Jumpman Gaming network – Yohoo Slots – is in no way affiliated with the search engine, Yahoo.

This brand-new online slots site boasts more than 200 games, with the emphasis on slots, and the majority of promotions allow players to score stacks of free spins. There’s also a generous welcome offer which allows newcomers to claim up to £200 of bonus funds and twenty free spins.

So, will you be shouting “Yahoo!” if you sign-up at the site, or will you fail to find cause for celebration?

Update (10/08/17) - As we pointed out in the above, Yahoo Slots is in no way associated with the search engine Yahoo. It seems like Yahoo may have taken issue with the site's branding though; as of August 9th, Yahoo Slots has been rebranded as Yohoo Slots. We have updated the review to reflect this name change, although nothing else about the site has changed.

design & Usability

If Yohoo Slots were a person, you’d say it has a sunny disposition. Blue skies, a fun logo which makes the “oo” of Yohoo look like a pair of eyes and is designed to look like the Sun, a cute chipmunk mascot, and a lush green landscape speckled with daisies, snails, and bumble bees give it a fun and friendly appearance.

There’s a brief menu system that lets you hop between All Games, Spinathon, Trophies, and Promotions, and an advert for the welcome bonus which includes a link to the wagering requirements.

The scrolling list of winners on the right-hand side gives you something to aspire towards, although we believe that the wins it mentions haven’t just been gained at Yohoo Slots but across the Jumpman Slots network in general.

customer Support

While the introduction at the bottom of the homepage boasts that there’s 24/7 customer support, this is actually incorrect. If you look at the “Contact Us” page, it states that the key contact methods of live help and WhatsApp are only available from Monday to Friday between 9.30 AM and 6 PM. An e-mail address is also provided.

bonuses & Promotions

At first, the welcome bonus which gives you 100% extra (up to £200) and twenty free spins on Starburst with your first deposit of £10 or more, followed by a further 100% bonus and twenty free spins on both your second and third deposit, looks very appealing. However, the small print explains that not only must you meet the 60x bonus wagering requirement before you can cash out any winnings, but also that the maximum amount that can be converted to your real cash balance is £500.

The other promotions include a good mix of free spins offers, VIP promotions, and competitions, but they can all be found at other Jumpman Slots sites such as Slots Gold and Multi Victory Slots.

software & Gameplay

The lobby lets you view the game selection via a list of thumbnail images, and although more categories for game types like video slots and casino games would be an improvement, you can browse by newest, A to Z, or perform a search.

The game window uses the same page of the website that it’s launched from, which is a little distracting, and so, we’d prefer it if there was the option to play in full-screen mode.

device Compatibility

As Yohoo Slots only launched in July 2017, we’d have thought that the inclusion of a dedicated mobile page was a given. However, this is sadly not the case, and we’ve since found that there are no Yohoo Slots mobile apps – just the main website, which you can visit and log into using your mobile web browser.

safety & Security

Yohoo Slots is licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission and the Alderney Gambling Commission. The website is secured via McAfee while the games are tested for fairness by independent RNG auditors, SQS.

variety & Originality

As several games manufacturers supply Yohoo Slots, including PariPlay, Eyecon, Elk Studios, NYX Interactive, and NetEnt, the variety of games is very good.

Currently, there are over 200 to choose from, of which slot games contribute the most. The slot games range from Guns ‘n’ Roses, Chilli Gold 2, Sam on the Beach, Jack and the Beanstalk, Fluffy Favourites, and Irish Eyes 2 to Shaolin Spin, Gonzo’s Quest, Fireworks Frenzy, Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters, Genie Wild, and Quest for the Grail.

There are also a handful of video poker games including Deuces Wild Double Up, 1 Hand Jacks or Better, and Joker Wild Double Up, plus scratch cards and casual games like Atari Star Raiders, Spin Lotto, Rio Bingo, Keno, and $100,000 Cash Cuisine.

If you’re hoping to find a decent line-up of casino games, there are only nine to choose from, but blackjack, roulette, and Hold’em are all covered, which means that the main casino game variants that you may miss are live dealer games and baccarat.

payments & Withdrawals

The available banking methods are Visa, MasterCard, Paypal, Paysafecard, and Pay by Mobile. The minimum withdrawal is £30, which we feel is rather high, and withdrawal requests take between three and five working days to be processed.

VIP Programme

The VIP programme that’s used at Yohoo Slots is the same as that offered by its sister sites, Slots Gold and Multi Victory Slots. The scheme allows you to progress through five VIP levels by earning Kudos (loyalty) points. As you rise through the ranks, you start to benefit from greater rewards including birthday bonuses, free spins, and weekly cashback.

conclusion

Yohoo Slots boasts a fine range of slot games from high-profile software manufacturers, but lacks any live dealer games and a wide enough selection of casino games to be able to turn our heads. It’s a pleasant enough place to play if you’re not too fussed about the high bonus wagering requirements, and the fact that it's pretty much identical to other Jumpman Slots brands.
