Summit Casino is the sister site of Cozy Games’ casinos like Slotmatic and Mambo Slots. It calls itself “home to some of the best casino games online and mobile casino games”, offering players a “VIP casino customer experience and the best free casino bonuses”. So, is Summit Casino a mountain worth climbing or are you better off turning around at base camp and seeking a less inhospitable environment?
Unlike its Cozy cousin, Grimms Casino, Summit doesn’t appear to have made much effort to alter/upgrade its default skin. Even the brand logo is quite crudely drawn – it’s a black and white silhouette of a mountain range against a red-and-white casino chip. It’s also interesting that it uses an albeit pleasant and relaxing blue as its background colour, as this instantly makes it feel a more masculine site.
At least the layout follows the standard Cozy website template, which puts everything roughly where you’d expect it to be. For example, there are buttons to “Login”, “Deposit”, and “Register” at the top-right, sections for the different game types and a drop-down menu containing links to the Promotions and Help pages on the top-left, a banner displaying the welcome offer in the centre, and the games lobby about half-way down the homepage.
Summit Casino offers players 24/7 support via online support ticket, email, telephone, and live chat, although when we tried to launch the live chat service prior to registering, all we got was a meaningless error message.
The offers at Summit Casino are provided by the Cozy Games network, but they do incorporate a decent range of deals and freebies. There’s a monthly promotion which, at the time of writing, is called Cool Summer Ride and it lets you work your way through ten different levels, each of which comes with exciting rewards. There are also regular cashback and redeposit bonus offers, a friend referral scheme, and a three-part welcome package which works as follows:
- 1st deposit – 100% bonus and up to 25 free spins
- 2nd deposit – 100% bonus and up to 15 free spins
- 3rd deposit – 100% bonus and 20 free spins
The three welcome bonuses each require you to make a deposit of £10 or more, and you’ll need to play through each bonus forty times before you can withdraw any associated winnings.
Cozy Games software might not be as visually impressive as the likes of Microgaming and Virtue Fusion, but it does a good job of providing a reliable and easy-to-use games interface and cashier. You can sort the games selecting by A to Z and rating, which is handy, and you can also add your own ratings depending on how you find each game.
At the bottom of the site in the footer, there are two links called Mobile Casino and Mobile Slots. While both pages go to great lengths to tell you how fabulous the mobile casino is and what games you can expect to play there, it’s not very obvious how to access it. As we learnt for ourselves, you simply visit summitcasino.com in your mobile web browser.
Summit Casino is licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission and the Isle of Man Gambling Commission. Trustwave supplies the SSL encryption, Comodo Secure provides payment processing services, and iTech Labs independently tests the casino’s random number generator (RNG).
Summit Casino has a range of slots from Eyecon, Cozy Games, Lightning Box, and Microgaming, which includes Irish Gold, Honey Bees, Avalon, Fluffy Too, Ariana, The Twisted Circus, Football Star, Spring Break, and Starlight Kiss. You can also play several scratch cards such as $100,000 Cash Cuisine, Asteroids, Arctic Madness, Royal Charm, and Mega Love.
There’s a small collection of video poker and casino games which include popular titles like American Roulette, Classic Blackjack, Deuces Wild, and Jacks or Better. And, unfortunately, there are no live dealer games available.
The games selection doesn’t change very often either, so if you’re hoping to get your hands on brand-new Microgaming and Lightning Box releases, you could be waiting a while.
You can use any of the following payment methods: Visa Credit, Visa Electron, Visa Debit, Maestro, Solo, Switch, MasterCard, Paysafecard, Neteller, and Ukash. You’ll never be charged payment processing fees, and you can enter promo codes in the cashier if there’s an offer you’d like to claim.
You can deposit between £10 and £500 per transaction, and withdraw between £10 and £1,000 per day. You can make up to five withdrawal requests during any seven-day period, and they take up to three working days to be processed.
We were unable to find any pages mentioning the presence of a loyalty or VIP scheme, which is very disappointing as we feel that this is something which would help retain players long-term.
Although Summit Casino ticks all the boxes in terms of licensing, fairness, and security, and it’s also a member of the Mobile Casino Network, it just doesn’t have enough on offer to make us want to stick around for long. However, this is merely our own opinion as experienced players, so you shouldn’t dismiss the site entirely if you’re not fussed about the lack of loyalty scheme or unique games and promotions.
