Wink Slots verdict

Wink Slots is the sister site of Wink Bingo, and it’s run by a subsidiary of 888 Holdings called Cassava Enterprises Limited. As well as offering slots, big jackpots, and casino games, Wink Slots has its very own online magazine, which features all the latest promotions and informative articles on topics such as how paylines work and whether you have a better chance of winning a progressive jackpot than landing your dream job. You can also play Wink’s games on-the-go using any modern tablet or mobile phone with an internet connection. Will our reviewer raise a drink to Wink or does its online casino stink? Find out in our in-depth review.

design & Usability

Wink Slots is wonderfully easy to navigate and the entire website looks smart and stylish. There’s a simple main menu that lets you move between the Slots, Big Jackpots, Casino, Promotions, and Magazine, Register and Login boxes, and a nicely presented static banner that introduces the current no-deposit offer. Further down the homepage, you can scroll through some of the available games including the latest slot games, and view the most recent winners. Links to the help and FAQ pages are provided at the bottom.

The background colour is mainly white while the font is a dark purple, which makes it easy to read and helps the graphics to stand out.

customer Support

While the level of customer service is good, the availability leaves something to be desired. You can only get in contact with the team by telephone (between 9 AM and 1 AM, 7 days a week) and email (N.B., you can expect a response with 48 hours). We feel there should be 24-hour support at least, and preferably a live chat service too.

bonuses & Promotions

The promotions are predominantly bonus-focused and, therefore, we’d like to see some more interesting offers and events introduced such as slots tournaments, challenges, and prize draws. However, the promotions on offer are both unique and generous, which is more than can be said for some brands.

The no-deposit bonus gives you thirty free spins, but you should be aware that any winnings are capped at £4. Plus, you must wager any winnings through 30 times before you can make a withdrawal.

The welcome package offers you a 100% bonus of up to £400 and 50 free spins to use on the Kingdom of Cash slot on your first deposit of £20 or more; a 50% bonus of up to £100 and 15 free spins to use on the Magical Forest slot on your second deposit of £20 or more; and a 50% bonus of up to £100 and 15 free spins to use on the Imperial Destiny slot on your third deposit of £20 or above. To withdraw any bonus funds and winnings, you’ll firstly need to wager your deposit and bonus through 30 times.

On Mondays, you can get a 50% reload bonus of up to £50, and at the weekends there are three bonus codes to use that give you up to £240 extra when combined. There are also loyalty bonuses available on your tenth, fifteenth, and twentieth deposit.

software & Gameplay

Dragonfish software is common among UK bingo sites, and it’s also used to power Wink Slots. It’s a high-performance platform which is easy to use and very reliable. The only downside is that it doesn’t give you access to any exclusive games.

device Compatibility

Although there’s a banner near the bottom of each page that tells you Wink Slots is “available on all devices”, it would help if there was a dedicated mobile page. There’s no mobile app, however, the mobile version of the site is highly optimised which makes it easy to switch between your desktop and mobile device.

safety & Security

The casino is licensed and regulated by the Great Britain Gambling Commission and the Government of Gibraltar. The eCOGRA Safe & Fair logo is present in the footer, and the Fair Play Policy explains how the rigorously tested random number generator ensures each game gives a fair result.

variety & Originality

The game variety doesn’t come close to rivalling some of the UK’s top online casinos, but there’s still a good selection of slots from NetEnt, WMS, and IGT, including Crystal Forest HD, Da Vinci Diamonds, Chilli Gold, Cleopatra, Foxin’ Wins, Flowers, and Guns ‘n’ Roses.

The majority of progressive jackpot slots are by Random Logic (e.g. The Big Lebowski, Irish Riches, and Treasure Fair) although there’s one well-known title - Mega Fortune.

The casino games include an impressive selection of live dealer tables where you can play blackjack, roulette, baccarat, Casino Hold’em, and Caribbean Poker. However, the collection of table games is currently very small and only includes two video poker variants plus a handful of popular casino games like American Roulette, Baccarat, and Multi-Hand Blackjack.

Overall, the variety is okay but there are no original games, and nearly all of those that are available can be found at Wink Bingo and other Dragonfish/888 brands.

payments & Withdrawals

You can use any of the following payment methods: Neteller, Paysafecard, Entropay, Paypal, Visa, MasterCard, or Maestro.

VIP Programme

We were unable to find any evidence of a VIP or loyalty scheme which is a shame. However, as we've already covered, you can claim loyalty bonuses on your tenth, fifteenth, and twentieth deposit and there is a plethora of promotions that are sure to make up for the lack of a dedicated VIP scheme.

conclusion

On the one hand, it’s good to see Cassava Enterprises branching out into online casinos, and thanks to its excellent reputation for online bingo, we know it’s a fair and trusted operators. We also like that Wink Slots has a great line-up of slot games for both desktop and mobile players. However, in order to rival the hundreds of other casinos on the market, it needs a more varied selection of promotions, a proper VIP/loyalty programme, and some exclusive games.
