Saying “I do” in the UK can cost a lot of money for couples. However, a trip to America’s gambling mecca can be more intimate, fun and allow you to become Mr and Mrs without occurring huge costs.
If you’re really lucky, you could even win all your money back on the tables!
What’s more, In Las Vegas, you can essentially have your stag/hen do, wedding ceremony and honeymoon all in one. It’s also very quick and can be carried out almost immediately.
In a word, yes. Getting married in Vegas is just as legally binding as getting married in a church or registry office in the UK.
However, before you can get hitched, you’ll need a Las Vegas wedding license which can be attained at an onsite or downtown clerk, or online. The full details can be found on the Clark County Marriage License Bureau.
You’ll also need:
Proof of age such as a driver’s license, military ID card or government-issued ID card.
Two witnesses who are unrelated and at least 18 years old.
If you want to experience a Vegas wedding without it being legally binding, head to The Cosmopolitan or Chapelle de l’Amour where you can have a fake one.
