Playtech, a leader in global gambling companies, has recently announced a new collaboration with the Responsible Gambling Council (RGC). RGC is the international leader in problem gambling prevention, awareness and research, and the new collaboration aims to strengthen industry insights with the goal of advancing safer gambling, mental health, and digital wellbeing within the gambling industry.
With over 35 years in problem gambling prevention in Canada and internationally, the RGC is an ideal partner for Playtech, which continues to strengthen its commitment to placing safer gambling practices at the heart of its core products and services, known as Playtech Protect.
The collaboration with RGC also forms part of Playtech’s efforts to build relationships with global leaders in research and technology as part of its sustainability strategy, Sustainable Success, which aims to help people lead healthier lives online and improve Playtech’s support offerings.
Playtech is a pioneer in the gambling industry, using data, research and tech to create products that will identify at-risk gamblers and deliver personalised responsible gambling interventions based on personal profiles created through artificial intelligence. This is an encouraging development upon the ways in which gambling operators can protect you.
Playtech also own some of the UK's biggest slot game providers, including Eyecon and Quickspin, offering games you know and love like Fluffy Favourites.
The interim chairman at Playtech, Claire Milne commented “The Responsible Gambling Council is a leader in research and best practice standards that drive the gambling sector to build a more sustainable and safe industry… as part of our Sustainable Success strategy we aspire to develop meaningful partnerships that will advance the safer gambling agenda.”
The RGC’s research allows top operators to continuously improve and carry on providing the best safe gambling environments and policies, for the most enjoyable experience possible for customers. Janine Robinson, director of RGC’s Centre for the Advancement of Best Practices added “We believe adopting digital resilience and safer gambling behaviours will be an important part of protecting mental health.”
Responsible gambling practices must be at the forefront of every stride taken in the gambling industry, and this collaboration between Playtech and RGC is incredibly promising.
