MrQ to host charity bingo nights in aid of Dogs on the Streets

Award-winning online bingo operator MrQ is to run three charity bingo nights to raise funds for charity Dogs on the Streets, with the first one taking place this Thursday.

All proceeds from the events will go to the charity and help to fund its work caring for dogs belonging to homeless people. Tickets for the games cost 20p and a minimum of six can be bought per game. Prizes on offer include £20 for one line, £30 for two, and £50 for a full house. This top prize will increase ninefold for the final game of the evening, where a huge £450 will be won. As well as all proceeds from ticket sales going directly to Dogs on the Streets, MrQ will be making a donation of £1,000.

The first bingo night takes place this Thursday, 4th November, with 90-ball bingo games being played every 10 minutes from 8pm to 9pm.

Dogs on the Streets was set up in 2016 with the goal of helping rough sleepers to access care for their pets. Following six years of running a street-based outreach programme, founder Michelle Clark established the charity in its current form. Operating on a weekly basis in London, the charity provides essential services like food, grooming, training and medication. The charity hopes to expand its network even further in the future.

After this series of charity bingo nights for Dogs on the Streets, MrQ is hoping to make them a regular fixture, with new charities chosen quarterly.

Commenting on the events, the MrQ team said: “Charity bingo nights are a great way for us to use our technology to raise money for charities. Last year we piloted the use of bingo to raise money for Rail Aid and it was a huge success, so now we’re rolling it out as a more frequent activity to help a range of different causes.

“Our aim is to build awareness for these charities among our growing customer base, drive a sense of community through the bingo chat room and ultimately help support the work of some amazing people.”
