Matthew McConaughey hosts live game of virtual bingo!

With social gatherings banned until further notice, people all around the world are turning to virtual versions of their favourite activities. We've seen quiz nights hosted over Zoom, drinking sessions taking place on Houseparty and even a game of bingo held in the street! Well, now an assisted living community in Round Rock, Texas has held an exciting game of virtual bingo, with celebrity guest host Matthew McConaughey!

Residents tuned in via live video chat on Sunday night to watch Mr McConaughey call out the numbers and award winners with a Q&A session. It's no secret that older generations love bingo because it's easy to follow and fun to play, which is why Gala Bingo are offering free bingo to over 65s.

The seniors living at The Enclave assisted living centre reached out to Matthew via social media and asked him to join them for a game of bingo. Little did they know that they would get his entire family, including his mother, wife and two children! 

After the game, the owners posted the following message to Facebook “Thank you to Matthew, his wife Camila, and his mom Kay for hosting our residents for a few rounds of virtual bingo”.
