It's arrived!
Back in October, users of bingo titan Foxy Bingo received an email letting them know that, as of November 20th 2018, Foxy would be leaving 888 and the Dragonfish software.
Instead, the responsibility of the operations and marketing would fall with ElectraWorks Limited – part of the GVC group of companies.
Players were given 180 days from November 20th 2018 to log into their account and accept or decline consent. If players decline or don’t log in during this time, their accounts will be closed, and 888 will cash out any cash balance left in the account.
Well, the day finally arrived, and the start of the 20th saw Foxy Bingo down for maintenance. After a few hours, it was launched, and it seems that there have been a few teething issues with many taking the Facebook page to point out that there has been a delay in balance transfers, including pending withdrawals and current balances.
This is something that the support team were quick to defend and reassure players that the problem would be fixed in due time.
While there isn’t a massive change to the brand that we’ve all grown to love, there are differences that you’d expect from a brand moving from one platform to another. In their own words, these include new promotions and features along with a ‘more fresh and vibrant’ look.
The juries out on whether the transition will be a hit, but we think that as long as Foxy fixes the main issues – it should still be one of the biggest bingo sites on the market.
