Playtech, one of the UK’s most popular iGaming slot software providers, last week (1st August) announced its expansion into the regulated Portuguese market in partnership with Solverde Group.
Playtech will power CasinoSolverde.pt using its IMS player management platform and begin the integration of its suite of popular slot and casino games.
The Solverde Group will also have access to the system’s data-driven performance tools and functionality, with the hope of increasing the profitability of the company’s newest casino.
In addition to CasinoSolverde.pt, the group also owns four hotels and five land-based casinos in Portugal. It is the owner of one of just 18 licences issued by the Portuguese government back in 2017 following the regulation of the market two years earlier.
Manuel Silva Carvalho of Salverde Group, said:
“We are pleased to partner with Playtech to bring its industry leading casino offering to the Portuguese audience and are confident it will be a driver of growth for both our businesses in Portugal.”
Shimon Akad, chief operating officer at Playtech, commented:
“We are pleased to see Playtech’s technology continuing to serve as the infrastructure of choice in competitive and complex regulated markets.
“This deal highlights the continued strength of our data driven platform to offer integrated solutions to operators and we hope to announce further successes in regulated markets soon.”
CasinoSalverde also recently struck a deal with developer, iSoftBet, to integrate its own slot games and online casino titles.
The Portuguese gambling industry continues to grow with quarterly revenue up to the end of June of €48.3m, up from €47.3m in the quarter before.
