One of the biggest online bingo brands in the world, Gala Bingo, has just re-launched on a new bingo platform. What does this change mean for players and should you check out this new look? Read on…
The most immediately noticeable change is the new logo! Gone is the classic Gala Bingo logo that any self respecting bingo fan would have recognised, whether it be from a bingo hall or online bingo. Instead there’s a new, modern looking flat design that’s probably a few years overdue. It's different and not that interesting to look at, but it definitely looks like a logo that was designed in the past 10 years, so it gets a tick in my book!
The site has also had a visual overhaul too and will look pretty different to Gala regulars! The site has adopted a design that is very clean and easy to use, though it doesn’t really seem to have much of its own personality. In fact, it’s actually interesting to see one of the standout brands in the UK conforming to the same design philosophies as the rest of the industry, instead of the other way round.
Whether or not this new look is an improvement is probably down to someone more qualified in design than me, but personally I think the old site was more unique and stood out more in a sea of increasingly identical looking white label brands. But this new Gala Bingo doesn’t only bring a new look, it actually changes the building blocks of the site.
The whole of Gala Bingo has been migrated onto a new proprietary bingo platform created and operated by GVC, the owner of Gala Bingo. If the redesign seems familiar to you, it’s because GVC’s bingo software also hosts popular sites Foxy Bingo and Cheeky bingo too! Gala Bingo's slots focused sister site, Gala Spins has also been migrated to this new platform too, though in that case the branding is staying the same.
If you're an online bingo regular, watching all the best online bingo sites blend into one uniform look must be confusing to say the least.
