Gala Bingo is the first bingo brand to join the Senet Group, an independent gambling watchdog.
The Senet Group promotes responsible gaming through TV and multimedia campaigns. Recently, you might have seen their “When The Fun Stops, Stop” campaign on TV and on various websites.
Operators like Paddy Power, William Hill and Coral have all signed up to the group, but Gala is the first bingo-only brand to join.
As a result, Gala Bingo’s website and bingo clubs will soon feature advertisements from the group to encourage responsible gambling.
Wanda Goldwag, Chair of the Senet Group, said: “Today marks an important milestone as more sectors from across the gambling industry recognise the importance of promoting responsible gambling standards.”
Simon Wykes of Gala Leisure echoed this, saying: “We place great importance on responsible gambling and can see the merits in working together as an industry”.
Any move that helps promote responsible gambling is a good one. Making gambling more enjoyable and less harmful for all is vital if the industry is to continue to grow.
Therefore, we expect to see multiple brands and operators following Gala’s lead in joining the Senet Group. Doing so helps put the players interests first, which ultimately helps benefit everyone.
