Rehab Bingo may seem like a strange name, but this bingo site actually raises funds for the Rehab Group, which provides training, employment, health and social care services to people with disabilities in the UK and Ireland. Operated by Game On Media, Rehab Bingo clearly cares about its cause, but what about the bingo side of things?
Update 04/11/16:The standard Rehab Bingo first deposit offer is 200% for new players. However, Butlers has agreed to offer OnlineBingo members an exclusive 300% first deposit bonus and 100 free spins on the Bar Bar Black Sheep slot. Click the 'Claim Bonus' button above to get yours.
The site’s appearance is clean and sharp, with a fun logo and sky theme. You’re greeted by a big graphic listing the latest games and you’ll find useful information at the bottom of the page. They have nice artwork too, depicting a friendly female character.
Navigation is straightforward, with a top bar, account info top right and the usual pages on display. They follow a pretty typical template and it works well. They have the addition of a ‘Bingo for Good’ page to detail the good works that proceeds from the site pay for, something which is really nice to see. Note that this site displays currencies in Euros, which can be confusing for UK players.
Rehab Bingo offers 24/7 live chat, which you can easily find on the help page or floating on the right of the home page. Though this service is excellent, unfortunately they are lacking a phone line. Otherwise you have an email and contact form at your disposal. Support responses come quickly and seem to be well informed.
There’s also an FAQ section which is pretty long and exhaustive, very nice to see.
The welcome bonus at Rehab Bingo is 200%, lower than some but plenty to get you started. On the downside, the wagering requirement is a little above average at five times the bonus.
The site’s promotion page neatly organises everything by day, giving you a nice, easy guide to what’s on when you arrive. Click the calendar to see the information on each promo. Many are based on bingo jackpots, such as Bingo Boom with fourteen jackpots up for grabs. The promotions are original and well presented, but not that creative except for some chat-related games.
T&Cs: 18+, 5x bingo, 40x casino wagering required before withdrawal (game weighting applies), 7 day expiry for free spins, Max bet 6.25 until wagering requirement completed, T&Cs apply.
Rehab Bingo software is quite different and works really well. You have two simple side strips for links to slot games (but a lobby link would be nice) and access to your account info, while the middle has bingo, minigames, tickets and chat. They fit a lot into the space and the bingo looks great, with a smooth animation.
The chat window is a good size and has plenty of customisation, from sounds to avatars. Hosts are easy to find and join in chat, but rooms seem to be a little on the slow side. Of course, this can be down to day and time.
Rehab Bingo makes no mention of mobile play on the site, which is a bit of a shame. They do in fact have a mobile optimised site, but don’t advertise it or have an app available. The site should still work on most devices.
The mobile site is well constructed with key links at the bottom of the page. It loads pretty quickly and they should shout about it more. Though a little basic, the bingo is clear and easy to follow, plus they have a nice, big chat window. A good offering for a browser-only site.
This site’s credentials are all in place, including licenses from the UK Gambling Commission and Malta Gaming Authority. They have the widely respected eCOGRA certification for safety and fairness. The site goes a long way towards providing reassuring information for players, with dedicated pages describing their security. They use 128-bit SSL encryption to protect your data and give information on their payout rates too.
Rehab Bingo’s slot selection is very good, thanks to developer Microgaming. They include some very popular and well-known titles like Thunderstruck 2 and Immortal Romance, quality slots with detailed bonus rounds. Everything here can be found on sites like Glossy Bingo and Butlers Bingo though.
The bingo selection is thinner than usual at just seven rooms, plus they’re limited to 90 ball and 75 ball varieties. This is a shame, but the rooms are still interesting with fun titles and a good mixture of ticket prices. You’ll find four progressive jackpots and a newbie room, which adds to the site’s welcoming feel. Good bingo to be had here, but not a lot to discover.
Rehab Bingo has a slightly clunky pop-up cashier window, but it’s easy enough to use. You have the options of MasterCard, Visa and Maestro for cards and electronically you have Neteller, Skrill and PaySafeCard. A shame that PayPal is missing, but overall a good selection. There are promotions based around depositing bonuses and loyalty rewards, look out for these.
Withdrawal times are listed at 3-7 days, a little broad but probably just trying to cover every eventuality.
Rehab Bingo has a big VIP scheme, built around a four-tier system. Starting at Bronze, you can rise to Silver, Gold and Platinum. The rewards here are varied and interesting, starting with birthday free spins and bingo bonuses, rising up to free entry to slot tournaments and extra loyalty points.
The site offers loyalty points as you spend, based around the usual system, though advancement through VIP tiers appears to be unconnected and just down to invitation.
Rehab Bingo is an unusual site and that’s no bad thing. Newcomers will feel very welcome here and veteran players will find a site that’s different. While it may lack a few features, it does have a good set of games and promotions that stand out. The fact that proceeds go to charity makes the site a pleasure to play on. Reading about the work of the Rehab group adds a new dimension to the site, making up for a fairly average bingo offering.
