Bingo Night Live

Bingo bounced back onto ITV this Wednesday, with the launch of Bingo Night Live, the channel’s latest interactive television offering. It replaces ITV Play which was pulled by the network following the negative publicity surrounding competition phone entries.

Viewers will be able to get their eyes down for an hour of bingo fun from the stroke of midnight Monday through to Friday. Those who fancy taking part in the free and free opt-in games simply need to visit the ITV Bingo web site and open a Bingo Night Live secure account free of charge. And just to make sure you feel like they’re really taking part, they’ll be able to download and print a card that they can mark off live with their lucky homemade dabbers, from the comfort of their own arm chair. All will be explained by the helpful and friendly presenters such as Melinda Messenger who is there on telly to guide them through the game and hopefully to a £1000 jackpot. They also offer a £25,000 jackpot if a winner is drawn in 32 balls though this is very unlikely event it’s still a possibility.

The first few shows have had their share of teething problems from both a technological and presenter stand point – live TV is always fraught with possible issues and stumbles. The Lucky Stars Section from Russell Grant needs to be ditched. But with player numbers already topping 18,000 we are in for a big format we think and Bingo may have just found a new home with ITV.

And there’s plenty in the pipeline, with everything from appearances from TV and music stars, to information on star signs and winnings from leadings statisticians. So make sure you take part in the next show of the fabulous Bingo Night Live.  Is this the future of online bingo?
